1. The printer cartridges are either absent or bad and should replaced. 2. The cartridge housing is stuck at its parking end. 3. The cartride housing is faulty and should be replaced. Good luck

belindatate, PCmania is exactly right, in fact that's the best discription I have ever read on this site. My only comment is that I have always simply reset the protection counter without changing the waste ink pads and have not had a problem in about 8 times (I own a lot of C60s). But that's just my experience. Either way you go, the SSC Service Utility is what you'll need to download for the ability to reset the protection counter.
