Problem for Palm Treo 680 Smartphone

SMS text receipts

When I send text messages I get charged by Orange for SMS receipts. I don't want this service but the only function on my Treo 680 is already set to MMS receipts "Never" and Orange say it has to be remedied on the handset
How can I stop this?

In Nokia you can turn off receipts. You may need to get the manual out, but you do not have to have receipts, obviously a little money making scheme, like my voicemail access msgs costs me everytime!!!
