How do I attach the Zebco 202 reel to the rod?

Zebco 202 has a foot projecting from the frame.....this is mated to the reel seat area on your rod and the knurled rings on the rod are tightened down over it to secure it for fishing.

How do I get my zebco to retrieve the line

Your reel has pickup pins on the spool that will guide the line onto the spool when you reel in.
Try holding gentle tension on the slack line just above your reel and start reeling in. If this does not work then remove the top cover of the reel and look to see if the line is tangled up on the inside around the center shaft underneath the pickup pin cover.
if this is the case, simply unscrew the pickup pin cover from the center shaft. It will be on the tight. Remove the tangled line and reassemble.

Change line on Zebco 33kl ckj3 fishing reel

Carefully lube and let set overnight then try to open it .If that doesn't work take it to a reel repair shop. some of them will do it for free

My answers are short and sweet. Common sense mostly. If you are trying to get something for nothing...Don't waste my time! Remember if something sounds to good to be true that it usually is. I've spent many years of my life trying to cheat the system and was pretty good at it. This all changed when I discovered that people were doing the same thing to me. What comes around, goes around. Karma! Now I assist people in making win-win deals...that are legit!

The line will not release when I cast

I am assuming you know at least something about fishing with a baitcast reel. If you do not, make sure you release the thumb button when you cast.
Chances are your line is either tangled or dirty on the inside. Also, the longer the line sits on the spool, the "curlier" it becomes, making it more difficult to get a good cast. I would suggest replacing your line.

If that doesn't help, then its possible that the release pin isn't releasing when the button is released. If this is the case, it is probably time for a new reel. Zebco 33's are inexpensive, and not really worth the trouble to try and repair- better to just invest in a new one.

How much line does a zebco 33 hold?

Try it and see.

It's hard to see ANY line while it's in the water.

That would depend on the rod, but usually either the front part of the hand grip can be unscrewed, or there is a screw under the rod that will loosen it.

My son has bought a deluxe starter fishing set for freshwater fishing, and there no instructions how to set up the tackle.e.g floats weights ect.

you can put the weights on leaving about 3 feat of line then tie the hook on by putting some line through the loop in the hook and twisting it about 7 times upward and pulling the excess line through the bottom loop in the line. Or just attach the floater with a little bit of weight under it with the hook put on the same way.
