Check that you have water supply to the pipe that connects the dishwasher to the wall, when you switch the dishwasher on, dose it buzz quietly, if so there is no water coming to the machine, the fault is with the plumbing, if there is no quiet buzz when switched on then check the water solenoid for open circuit if i have helped please rate me

I have a similar problem with the same model of Miele dishwasher. I figured I should check the circuit to the water inlet - so my question is : where do I locate the water inlet valve? Can I access it from the front panel or do I have to pull the unit out to access the back?

No water going in dishwasher, have checked water supply and small filter at the back of machine. water coming from bottom of the machine

This happened to a GE machine of mine once, and the problem was a stuck float..
Inside the dishwasher tub, in the front-left corner under the silverware tray, there's a float that keeps the dishwasher from overfilling. If this is stuck in the "up" position, then the dishwasher will always believe that it's full of water already.

It should be able to move up and down (total travel of 2-3 inches) freely and smoothly.

Best of luck! Add comments back if you find new information, or hit the thumbs-up if this was the solution for your problem!

Does it feel free to turn? It's water powered and works in conjunction with the water pump. Do you hear the water/booster pump come on?

Hi All, we have just bought and fitted a Hoover HEDS 668-80 Dishwasher. When we tried to run the first wash, the pre-wash and wash light both light up simultaneously. The instruction manual says this...

you do not have enough water pressure,, either change the water supply or check the pressure in your house should ba about 70lbs, to work the unit properly,, you could also increase the water supply from 3/8 to 1/2 inch up to the connection of the unit

My dishwasher will not fill with water?

The water level sensor is not working right.  Generally, these are floats in the lower right side of the inside tub.  They jam up and will not move due to detergent buildup.  Gently move the float up and down to clear the issue.  If you have a water heat cycle, use it next time to help 'melt' the detergent buildup.
If you don't have a float, you have a sensor located in the bottom of the machine with a tube going up to the tub.  It has a thin hose and two wires coming out of it and is about 3 inches in diameter and about half an inch thick.  It has broken and will need to be replaced.  Test it by shorting the two wires and seeing if the washer fills.

Dishwasher switched itself off during cycle - no power now

It is possible that some of the pips have been washed down into the drain pump and jammed the impellor, follow the drain hose back to the pump underneath of the dishwasher make sure the d/washer is switched off at the power supply before you attempt this, if you have reasonable mechanical skill you should be able to remove front of pump to clean it.

Removing dishwasher

Washers have a fill line to a small blue valve underneath, there is also a power supply, and drain line hose. Make sure to turn breaker and water supply off, before removal

Replace a dishwasher

Hopefully there's enough slack in your water supply hose for you to just pull out the machine and unscrew the hose.  Be sure to turn off the water before you unscrew it.  You might be able to unscrew the bottom plates to access the supply connection from the front.  Your new machine will probably have a 3/8" female connection.  I'd suggest having a 3/8" street elbow and an adapter for 3/8" male to whatever your plastic pipe.  The other thing to watch for is whether your machine is hardwired for electricity or has a cord and plug.  You can use your old cord and plug on the new machine, if the new one doesn't have one.
