The first thing to check is incoming 120VAC power to the unit. This voltage must be 115Volts domestic USA with no less than -10% allowable. If your voltage is below this point, the unit will not work. If your voltage is ok, check the thermostat or selector switch. Make sure that the thermostat (if wall mounted) has 12VDC running to it. If it does not, fix that problem first. If it is manual control, check the selector switch for ok. You should have incoming 120VAC power to the switch and when the High/Cool is selected, check the following.
Terminals LI and C, and L1 and 1 should have continuity. If not, replace selector switch.

My panasonic **** system keeps turning itself off and the timer light comes on flashing. But the remote hasn't had the timer set. I can restart it by pressing the on button again but it only runs for about 20mins before doing it again.

I have a Mistral MPAC140 and I have only had it about 1 year and have not had any problems with it until now, I went to turn it on today and it goes for about 2 minutes and then blows the sure button on my powerboard which it is always plugged into and I am not using anything different to what I normally use at the same time as the air conditioner, is there anything I can do to rectify this problem
