What would make a snow blower run for 15 minutes then shutoff, restart for 30 seconds and then shutoff again?

Buddy of mine had a arise brand with a tecumpsi motor it was bought new. Believe it or not, the exaust valve stem was just a little long made that way from factory. When it would warm up the valve would expand just a little and create low compression. Then the thing would be impossible to keep running. Took it apart and filed the valve stem down and it runs like a champ again. Good luck!

Tip

Keep Your Gasoline Power Tool Running for a life time.

When you put up your lawn mower or any power unit for the winter, (or summer "snow blower" ) make sure to drain out the gas,( it is even better to run it out of gas )
the little orfice in the shut off valve or small fitting below the gas tank may gum up and plug up if you don't.

If your unit won't start in the spring then take the line apart at the tank and remove the valve or small fitting in the bottom of your tank and clean the hole out with a pipe cleaner or small wire,
A lot of repair shops charge an arm and a leg when all they do is this very thing about 75% of the time each spring.

Having the same problem with mine. Looking for a replacement generator. Seems that if your water pressure or flow is not adaquate your will have this problem. Get worse over time. I took mine apart and it got better then started doing the same thing again. I turn on several faucets to overcome problem. Still it not good. The 1600H does not appear in the Bosch website parts list models. They do say that a third party does the fulfillment in the notes at bottom on other units...maybe call them

G-3050 - area to draw soap - how to put washer/ball and spring

First off you must be using the low pressure nozzle for the chemical injector to work. It will not work on high pressure. The spring goes into the injector body first with the ball in metering valve.

Can't get the gas valve to release fuel when trying to light the pilot. took apart the line and there is gas, but the valve won't release when I press the plunger in. coleman trailer furnace was turned off...

Possible bad gas valve. When a gas valve fails it fails in the closed position. If you cannot get gas out of the pilot light chances are gas valve is bad. Call a service tech for freee estimate. Rus

Sears leaf blower will not start normally

Your problem is that the jet valve is being partially blocked. unscrew the carb. label the intake gas line and then the outflow, so you wont get mixed up when reattaching. unscrew both sides of the carb, on one side of the carb will be the pump diaphram and the other side will be another diaphram. you will see the metering valve which I have termed the "jet valve" unscrew the screw that holds it together with a phillips screwdriver. Be careful!!!, there is a tiny spring that pops out and is easily lost. Use a carb spray and clean all ports and holes. spray the jet and spring. On reassembling the spring be careful. Use a 150+ reading glasses if you are unable to see well. Carefully place the spring in the indented spot, place the jet between the grooves of the tiny leaver making sure that there is a part that must fit on the spring. If you fit it upside down then the machine will die off at full throttle. slip in the pin. Press down the spring and screw down the phillips screw. reassemble the carb exactly as you took it apart. It is important to remember or document. The first time i did it I made a tiny scratch between parts so i knew how to align them properly. After reassembly try starting. Rev at full throttle, if problem persists check the filter inside the gas tank it may be clogged. If it is replace. If problem is still there, open the carb again where the check valve is located, place a flat steel ruler over the valve assembly and press down the end with the jet. This will level the jet. If problem persist get a carb kit. Your carb will either be a zama or walbro.

9.8 hp mercury outboard shutting off in low idle speed.

My problem ended up being the spring on the reed valve being weak. But at the same time and while I had already had my carb broke down I took a can of carb cleaner to it and cleaned it. In order to replace the spring on reed valve you will have to buy a new one, but don't worry I only payed about $6.00 for mine. You may also look into replacing your primer bulb if you haven't already because may allowing air to build up in your gas line while you are basically idiling.Once you get the carb straightened out you may have to reajust it again. If I might be able to help you again you may contact me at j_speaks@yahoo.com.

DEAN SR142GPS Flame Issue

A gas valve is actually 2 valves in one. The first is your pilot valve, when the pilot is lit, the flame heats a thermocouple or thermopile & that heat produces a millivolt signal that is sent to main gas valve( second part) & tells it that pilot is established and to open to allow main burners to light. The 3 "little flames" were coming from the orfices on the burner manifold. If you are absolutely sure you put the gas valve back in the same direction as it came out (arrow on bottom of valve pointing to the fryer/burners) & any springs or adjustment screws were not mucked with, then there is a malfunction in the gas valve. It needs to be replaced.
