Changing One Touch (For FAX Models Only) and Speed Dial Numbers If you try to store a One Touch (FAX models only) or Speed Dial number in a location where a number is already stored, the LCD shows the current name stored there, and then prompts you to either: 1 Press 1 to change the stored number-OR- press 2 to exit without making a change. 2 Enter a new number, and then press Menu/Set. • If you want to erase the whole number, press Stop/Exit when the cursor is to the left of the digits. The letters above and to the right of the cursor will be deleted. • If you want to change a digit, use or to position the cursor under the digit you want to change, and then type over it. 3 Follow the directions beginning at Step 4 in Storing One Touch Numbers (For FAX Models Only) and Storing Speed Dial Numbers.
Hi Suzeo. Many HP fax machines have the function you are requesting. It is called the broadcast fax feature. Look in your owner manual for this feature. If I knew which model you have I would have researched it for you. IF by chance, your machine does not have this feature, it would be money well spent to replace your current machine with one that does. Depending on how many pages the daily fax is, I am estimating that you are spending an hour or more each day on this task. J.

feature purpose 1 Phone Hook: the green LED in the shape of a phone indicates that the fax line is in use when lit. 2 One-Touch Speed-Dial Buttons: use to access the first 6 speed-dial entries. 3 Auto Answer: when the green light is on, fax transmissions will automatically be accepted. 4 Speed Dial: use to access speed-dial numbers that have been set up from the front panel or with the HP Director software. 5 Redial/Pause: redials the most recently dialed number when in the ready state. Inserts a pause (hyphen) when in the dialing state. 6 Keypad: use to dial fax numbers, and enter numbers such as the quantity of copies or percentages when reducing or enlarging. You can also enter text using the keypad for fax header, use speed dial entries, and specify menu items. 7 Fax Resolution: use to set the fax resolution to Fine, Standard, 300 dpi, or Photo. It will remain at the most recent setting until changed. 8 Start Fax - Black: starts a black and white fax. 9 Start Fax - Color: starts a color fax

Setting the Station ID You should store your name or company name and fax number so they print on all fax pages you send. 1 Press Menu/Set, 0, 3. 2 Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits). Press Menu/Set. 3 Use the dial pad to enter your name (up to 20 characters). (See Entering Text on page B-11). Press Menu/Set. 4 Press Stop/Exit. You cannot enter a hyphen in the fax number. To enter a space press once between numbers. If the Station ID has already been programmed, the LCD will ask you to press 1 to make a change or 2 to exit without changing.
