SOURCE: No power

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) Hope this helps you!

Hi bluemags,

It is true that you should use a higher power I.C., I do that all the time. However, the one to use is the STK392-120. This one is rated at 5 Amps unlike the STK392-110, 150, which are both rated at 3 Amps. I have not checked the data sheet on the 180. They are all OEM, since Sanyo designed them all. Beware of generic knockoffs not made by Sanyo. The generic I.C.s do not have the quality as the Sanyo originals.

Best Regards,

the convergance amplifiers are STK392-570 there are two of them they both must be replaced they are located on the power board. they are on the lagest heat sink on that board. yes, they need to be soldered to the board. they look like this:
70a4bc9.jpgthere also may be some resistors and fuses that failed. if you are not a tech do not attempt this repair if you do you may end up with further issues or dammage to you or the set.

No Power

The problem may not necessarily be from the cable. It has to either be from the socket you plug it or the internal Power IC inside the projector. If your socket is working fine then you may have to take it to an experienced technical expert who will trouble shoot and diagnose the problem but since you said the projector is not powering, its likely the inbuilt power IC is damaged by maybe a surge in electrical current. Hope this helps... Cheers

In asus P5GL-MX mother board the power supply regulator ic 2 piece has been damaged (short) how would i know plz help me

Hi if the regulator ic has been damaged in your power supply even you replace that there are some electronic component where also damage because the ic will not damage where there is no over voltage flow on it. This means there are some resistor or a transistor is also shorted it advisable to replace a new one than to repair your power supply. Because even you repaired it the performance and the life span of your power supply is not stable. So it better to replace a new one.

No power to Sony cs4

Ok - So i finally located the problem for the Stby lights not coming on......

Mine had the same procedure as all the other posting this - Could take up to 48 hours for the light to come on but this time only the whistling sound from the fan house on the front was present.

So i dissmounted the power supply located on a standing card at the back of the housing and found the faulty component :)

The solution for this problem is a IC in that board called IC MCZ3001DB changes this and all your problems with the projector not starting will be solved.
