It is more then likely your faceplate has become non functional, and if so the cd player is almost none functional. If you can remove the faceplate try cleaning the connections that clip into the cd player. But by the sounds of it, your face plate is die'ing out on you. Sorry

What many people do on this model is connect the remotes wires improperly. Use the solid blue wire for the amp and the blue with white stripe for the connection to the car.

Make sure you hold down the Bluetooth button for long enough. I found I had to hold the button for 20 seconds, until the unit entered Bluetooth pairing mode.
