Thanks for the response. I tried all of these and still only get to the Logo screen then "PASSWORD = and blinking cursor.
If I hold the F1 key, I get the Toshiba Logo Screen and no further.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the response. I am still not getting past the "PASSWORD = " screen. Guess I'll have to take it to a "service center" for resolution.

    Thanks

Hi, usually to get into bios on a toshiba laptop you press and hold the Esc key or the F1 key. try both of these, if they dont work, try this: 1. Turn on computer by Holding down power button while pressing the ESC key. The machine will beep, then display: Check System, then press [F1] key. 2. Release ESC key 3. Press F1 key If none of these work, we may have a different problem all together, get back to me if so, and i will see if we can find a solution. Hope this helps! Si :)

Try "1" or "/" or "A" or some messy combination of keys because it seems like you probably had a typo during setting the new password. Try "Spacebar" try "]" or "[" etc for a password, if you can figure it out you can reset it to nothing again just be careful. Otherwise research acer travelmate bios password removal. Also that computer is kind of old, so if there's nothing on it of importance, I'd replace it. If you need data try your friendly computer shop.

I FORGET MY IBM THINKPAD LENOVO T60 BIOS PASSWORD, NOW HOW I ENTER IN BIOS. PLZ GUIDE ME. S.VIRANI

Hi

Remove to your BIOS password download the CmosPwd, and follow the mention below instruction.
Typical Usage for DOS and all Windows users:

1) Identify your BIOS manufacturer (usually displayed at boot-up)

2) Start in DOS, or start a DOS session in Windows 95/98/ME. For Windows NT or Windows 2000 boot from a DOS or Windows 95/98 boot disk (you can find boot disks at www.AnswersThatWork.com), and run CMOSPWD from your boot floppy (or another floppy).

3) C: [Enter] cd CMOSPWD [Enter]

4) Type CMOSPWD at the DOS prompt and press Enter.

5) CMOSPWD will display a list of possibilities. Use the possibilities itemised against your BIOS manufacturer. Remember :

a) For AWARD BIOSes, use the Numeric Keypad (with NumLock ON).
b) AWARD 4.50PG BIOS always accepts "AWARD_SW", or "d8on", or "589589".
c) Old Phoenix BIOSes will accept "phoenix".

6) If the standard method does not work, then try to kill the CMOS password with CMOSPWD /K (and press Enter), and then see if you can get into the CMOS without a password. If you can, you successfully "killed" the old CMOS password. DO NOT KILL THE CMOS ON LAPTOPS!

Here are a few things you can do or try Restart the computer. If you are already in Windows, you can do this from the Windows Start menu, go to Turn off computer and click Restart. As the computer restarts, watch for a progress bar at the bottom of the screen. press F8 about once every second. Immediately press F8 before the progress bar reaches the right side of the screen. From the Windows Start-up menu, highlight Safe Mode and press Enter. Wait for your desktop to appear, and then make the necessary repairs (for example, uninstall programs or devices). When the repairs are done, restart the computer, and allow it to boot normally. Alternate: From the Windows Start menu, click Run. In the Open field, type MSCONFIG and click Ok. On the BOOT.INI tab, check /SAFEBOOT. Click Restart when prompted.
