Does not power up, red light next to on/off button just flashes. I rebooted the tv and it still has the same problem.
Some of the secondary voltages [low voltages of 12V and 8V], either one among the said is missing inside the circuitboard of your TV. It may be due to a component [Regulator] mistake, or loose sodering joints. You just give a mild hit with your palm, on the cabin of the TV while it stops. Do not hit it with any hard material. Use your palm only for this. If Tv comes alive again; it means that there is a loose contact inside the main board of the TV. Just find the exact point, and resolder it. If this doesn't help, check for the low tension voltages. As the red light flashes, means 5V power supply inside your TV is ok. Check the other two and the main supply rail, normally 125VDC, and related componets fitted with it. There may have a small value resistor in series with this power supply rail to LOT [usually less than 2 Ohms or so]. It will generate a small amount of heat while working. Check its sldering contact also for loose contact.
