After this reply you will still not be able to start normally.
The boot to lan is trying to start off an image stored on a server, you normally only see this at a business.
Boot to CD is looking for a bootable CD like the disk used to install Windows.
Boot to hard drive is normal but from your post it appears that it cannot communicate with your hard drive. Normally, when you have hard drives issues, the file is corrupt and at this point the computer complains but is sounds like it just freezes which suggests to me that the controller is gone.
In short, in order to get this working you will probably have to buy a new hard drive and reinstall Windows from CD. Since the version of Windows you have is XP (if you have the disk) and support for it ended almost 3 years ago, you are probably better off just getting a new laptop. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/end-of-xp-support

SOURCE: System failure to boot

Check you hard disk drive and make sure it is connected correctly. Is there a new hard drive in the device? If so you will need to install windows onto it. Otherwise as Ekse has said run the recovery console from your windows cd.

My HP Pavilion zt1130 PC Notebook Is Acting Very Slow, What Can I Do? I Don't Have Any Money To Spend But Is There Any Other Sites Where I Can Download Free Software For My Notebook?

the processor for this note is 1.13 ghz intel celeron, has a 256 mb (sdram) and 20 gb ide, now your saying that it is acting very slow, try checking what is the free space of your hard drive if your hard drive is full and has no free space left better remove un necessary files that you dont need having an full hdd sometimes affect the performance of your note book, then what is operating system that you use? dont use operating system that requires high specs from the notebook, dont use win vista or win 7 if the specs of youre notebook is not that good, better use win xp or winxp sp2

How to downgrade vista to winxp pro at Hp pavilion DV4-1204TU ?

Well, this may make you think twice:

I bought a presario from circuit city last year, and I paid $200 to downgrade to XP. Everything was fine until it crashed last week. IT went completely bizzerk. HP won't provide support, cause I changed it. Circuit City is out of business, not much help there.

Basically, I am completely #$%%@@.

I am now paying to get Vista put back in. :-(

Installation of Windows XP Pro on Hp Pavilion laptop

what is the error message that you're getting.. usually windows vista will not downgrade your operating system to windows xp. You may need to remove vista before you can load xp.
make sure to save a back up of all of your important files before you do that.
