Question about Bose Wave Radio
There is nothing showing in the display.
Check R406 for open. It could also cause by faulty Q401, 5V supply to the display. Cold solder or fractured joints between display and main PCB.

The problem is a shorted NPN surface mount transistor on solderside of the PCB. It is located underneath of R402. This transistor is used to switch power to the unit. Hap Nguyen firstname.lastname@example.org

SOURCE: Bose wave radio won't turn on
Unfortunately Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monpoly on repair of these units. Their web site, www.bose.com, offers to repair most Wave radios for $100 or to provide a $200 allowance towards purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend the big bucks on theis trouble-prone product though, you might want to check out the new HD radios -- better sound and MUCH lower prices than Bose.
