Question about Sony FD Trinitron KD-36XS955 36" TV

TV powers on but NO screen pops on.

Watching TV this morning. all of a sudden the TV screen went dark. i saw next to the power on button there was a blinking little dot of a light. Next to it, it says STAND BY TIME. PS. i turned the tv on and off. I even pulled the plug and plugged back in, but to know avail same problem, help help!

1 check remote control. 2 tv comes to stand by to protect itself 3 there might be problem in power supply section 4 & if it is ok check horizontal section. 5 call skilled tech to fix it. 6 it is not a major problem.

hey Al more than likelly it was the fuse that popped if you take the back panel off the fuse is next to the power cord and should take a 6.3 amp 125-250 volt fuse

Loud pop from projection TV, then no screen


Ur power board it dead.Replaced capacitors that puff up or pop open.Or replaced the whole board.

The little red light next to the power button blinks, but when you push the power button all we get is a series of click, click, clicks. My wife said she was watching it and it just went dark. No pop, no...

Sounds like power board issues, if your able test the voltages coming out of it and see if they are correct
