Same Problem

May 20, 2009

-   It seems my nokia phone did not come with control for talk volume. I cannot press right and left to have volume go up and down. While on a call, to the right is the message, left is the calendar, up is camera and down is my contacts. I could hardly hear people but then I got used to this and now they can hardly hear me. I dont see anything for voulme in settings, except for ringer volume and this doesnt help while on my calls. What can I do? I changed my phone's name in my bluetooth and it wont reset. But this volume thing is the same problem that I see other different types of nokia users with and their phones all look basically a bit similar to mine. Can any one fix this? -   guest0909

when in a call you should be able to increase by pressing the button on the side of the phone or the up / down scroll buttons on the keypad.

i went to settings, then My shortcuts and changed the left selection key to Volume. Then i exited out the main menu, selected Volume, then set it to Maximum. Theni went back and set it to Alarm like before.

No one answered the question... so I will... I think you hit the right and left scroll buttons to adjust the volume during a call... right increases, and left decreases.

Hi! I have upgraded my Nokia 6500s software to v9.6 from v8.6. The call volume has become very low and the volume button doen't seems to work. The loudspeaker works ok but ear speaker volume is hard to listen. I have now downgraded the phone to v8.3 & problem still persists
