SOURCE: no sound through Panasonic SA-HT930 surround system

I've had similar problems in the past. With audio problems trace the problem from the source to the amp.

1. What output is the cable box using for audio, digital or analog?
2. Is there a setting in the cable box to switch between digital and analog?
3. Once you have determined the output of the cable box check to make sure that it's going into the right output on the panasonic
4. This is where the problem usually is...what is the receiver expecting for sound, analog or digital?
5. Switching between the sources...the sound should be on one of them.

SOURCE: Have an SA-HT400 surround sound

Hi, you can use this guideline to help setup your PS3 with the surround sound system...

  • Determine the connection that you have available. The PS3 is equipped with HDMI and optical outputs, both of which can transmit a digital surround sound signal to your home theater receiver. You may not have an HDMI connection on your receiver, but you should have an optical connection. If you use HDMI for audio, you'll need to connect the HDMI from the PS3 to the receiver's HDMI input, then connect a second HDMI cable from the receiver's HDMI output to the television, in order to get video to your TV.
  • Purchase the appropriate cables for the connection that you've determined.
  • Connect the cable from the digital output on your PS3 to the input on your home theater receiver. Use a connection designated for a game system, when available, or use other connection such as "Video 1" or "Aux."
  • Connect the video. If you didn't use HDMI to connect to your receiver, run a separate HDMI, component or composite video connection from your PS3 directly into your TV. If you connected HDMI to your receiver, run an HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV.
  • Adjust your audio settings in your PS3 options menu. Switch your television to the input mode that corresponds with where you connected the PS3. In the home menu, go to "Settings/Sound" then "Settings/Audio Output Settings." Then, adjust the audio settings to reflect the connections you've made (HDMI or optical).
  • Select audio formats. Once you've selected the audio output type, you will be prompted to choose from various formats (2 channel, Dolby 5.1, DTS 5.1, 7.1). Refer to your home theater receiver to find out which formats it processes and consider how many speakers you'll be using when selecting formats.
  • Connect the speakers. If you have not yet already set up your speakers, connect each speaker to the appropriate output terminals on your receiver with speaker cable, matching the positive and negative terminals of the speaker with the matching terminals on the receiver.

Would like to have a owner user manualand a product manualfor a panasonic universal remote control EUR7662YWO

You are likely to find the instructions for the EUR7662YWO remote in the manual for the home theater system. The main unit is the SA-PT750. The entire home theater system is SC-PT750, see the support page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/SC-PT750.html . The direct link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/hometheater/om/sc-pt750_en_om.pdf . The code list for the remote is on page 10. Page 15 has more on using the remote control.

I hope this helps.

I hooked up a new lg hd tv via hdmi through my digital cable box. I am not receiving true surround sound, only dolby II. I have my box digitally hooked up to the receiver and the HDTV digitally hooked up...

It's possible that the TV broadcast isn't in true surround, and is only dolby encoded.
You can try going back to the component hookups, but I am not sure that will solve your issue.

Need hook up diagram for Samsung HDTV using HDMI with Cable box and Samsung 5.1 Surround Theater System

you can run a fiber optic cable out of the tv into the surround system if the sytem has a fiber optic input, or your tv should at least have red and white rca cables for audio out, then you just pick any input on the surround sound and any audio from dvd players ect thats hooked up to the tv will be sent through that one input on the surround sound. The only thing you'll have to do is turn the volume up or down on your sound system.

Sc-pt750

As far as I know there isn't any composite IN ports on the back of the SC-pt750 so that would mean you would have to directly hook it up to the TV. I have an SA-pt750, which has an S/PDIF port on the receiver so I would run a cable from the TV to the receiver, from there if the SC-pt750 is set to AUX then it should output the sound from the TV to the speakers. Hope that helps, if you don't have that S/PDIF port I think you might be out of luck!!
