Sony pcvrx514 cmos battery part number

Hi
This appears to be a desktop machine, and most motherboards use a CR2032 type coin style battery.
If you can get the battery off the motherboard being careful not to damage any part of the motherboard then the type and voltage of the battery is usually engraved on the metal case.
If this not the case then compare the physical dimensions - very carefully - between your battery and a CR2032 and if they correspond try the CR2032 before looking elsewhere.
Cheers

ULT31502 battery replacement

Battery replacement is simple. Getting the right battery is going to be the challenge. Original batteries, as there are two of them in my Ultra 1000va UPS. Replacement batteries need to be searched for. You must accurately measure the physical size of them for Height, Length and Width. There is not a lot of extra room, so look for ones that are higher capacity amp/hour wise but still the same physical size. Pay attention to the position of the battery terminals when looking at the specifications. Also you will need to know which type the spade terminals are and measuring their width will assist you in getting the correct type. I searched a lot of sites before finding what I needed and then shopped e-Bay for a good deal on two of them that was slightly larger capacity yet still the same physical size, terminal size the same between two available types, and they worked great. Original batteries were both split open, but the gel cell type saved me any damage as nothing leaked out. Easy to remove as there is just a mount plate that needed to be removed by removing a screw or two as I recall. Physical size is the key to an easy installation in the limited space in which they lay on their side. Pay attention to the location of the positive and negative on each of the two batteries as they were connected in series! Draw a diagram and label each of the terminals on each battery before disconnecting them. Be patient on the search and the time it takes to check the dimension of the battery for each battery you click onto and you will be OK with getting a suitable replacement!

Cmos battery error failure

The CMOS (BIOS) battery keeps the computer'a comfiguration and the Date & Time settings in the CMOS (BIOS) chip in its memory. When the CMOS (BIOS) battery is flat these configuration information is lost.
Replace the CMOS battery with a new one, in most cases this battery is a lithium 3 volt battery type CR2032 and it is coin size battery 18mm in dia.(check it to make sure the type of battery is installed on your motherboard).
When you replace this battery then go into the BIOS and set the Date & Time etc.

I want to that how i reset my recovery password and where the actual location of CMOS Battery?

In computing, BIOS (basic input output settings) refers to the information stored regarding a computer's hardware configuration, the system date and time and any applied password. This information is known as the BIOS or CMOS settings--the BIOS is stored on a small battery-powered semiconductor chip known as the CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor). Having a CMOS or BIOS password restricts unauthorized changes to the system's hardware configuration and, in some computers, may even be required for booting. A lost password may be reset by removing the CMOS battery, clearing the motherboard jumper or using a software-based password cracker.

Removing CMOS Battery
1. Shut down the laptop and unplug its power cord from the wall outlet. Remove the battery cover under the laptop and gently raise the battery from its dock. Unplug any peripheral devices with a live power source connected to the laptop, such as a modem or printer.

2. Locate and remove the CMOS battery. Refer to your user manual or visit the manufacturer's website for your laptop's architecture. Follow manufacturer recommended procedure to access and remove the CMOS battery. Depending on make and model, this procedure may be more involved for some laptops and not others. The CMOS battery is a flat circular shape and resembles a watch battery.

3. Wait 30 minutes and then put the battery back in. This will erase all information stored in BIOS. Assemble the laptop, making sure you leave no loose connections. Power up the laptop and press "F1" when you get the "CMOS cheksum error" message. Type in a new password.

Clearing CMOS Jumper
1.Turn off the laptop and access the motherboard following recommended procedures.
2.Locate the jumper in the motherboard. If you do not have your motherboard documentation, locate a single jumper near the CMOS battery. In some laptops, the jumper may also be labeled in the motherboard. Put the jumper setting to "Clear" and reassemble the laptop.
3.Turn on the computer and hit "F1" when the "CMOS checksum error" message is displayed. Navigate through the BIOS settings interface to load default settings and apply a new password.

Using Password Remover
1.Download a software-based BIOS password cracker. There are numerous free programs able to recover or delete CMOS or BIOS passwords from virtually all motherboard brands. Download the file from a trusted source and save it to the desktop.
2.Burn the installed file to a CD using image burner software. Insert the CD and access the password remover tool.
3.Note the password or use the program to set a new password.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.

Want to rest bios ASUS f3jm because I forget my passord,

Hi

do you have the manual for your laptop this will show you how to remove it and where to find it

if you follow this link it should take you there but you will need adobe reader installed to be able to read it and save the manual to desktop or pendrive for future use
www.asus.com go to support/downloads type in your make model and operating system and look for manuals

or if you can get on line on someones computer look youtube type in how to remove cmos battery in asus F3jm and it may show you

also i found this advise on another site i have not tried this myself but guess it could be worth a go

HOW TO REMOVE THE CMOS / BIOS
PASSWORD WITHOUT DOWNLOADING Any SOFTWARE
THIS IS ONE OF
THE MECHANICAL METHODS THAT QUITE OFTEN WORKS

1 . CHEK OUT & SEE WHERE IS YOUR CMOS BATTERY LOCATED .
2 . TAKE OUT THAT CMOS BATTERY AND LEAV IT OUT FOR 30-40 MINS .
3 . NOW PLUG IT BACK IN AND RESTART HOPEFULLY IT HAS WORKED

IF THIS DID NOT WORK Try This Method

1 . THERE IS ONE JUMPER LOCATED ( near SATA hard disk slots mostly )
2 . jumper slot is of 3 pins , out of which , jumper is put into 2 pins
3 . remove the jumper & put into other 2 slots ( center one & the left or right which was not plugged into previously )
4 . start PC & u should go into bios settings without requiring the password .
5 . And there u can even change the password of bios settings .
6 . now it will ask u to put the jumper in its original position . put it there & restart
I have heard of people trying this a no of times & it seems to work

Need battery for Onan 6500 Generator

I have searched but cannot actually find what type male of battery it uses, other than it is a Lead Acid Battery. Now with lead Acid batteries, it is the actual Capacity, in Both Amperage output, and Physical capacity. So based upon that ANY 12 V DC Wet Cell battery of the SAME Physical size, and CURRENT capacity will work. Look on the actual battery itself, it WILL/Should have identifying marks written on it. Get one the same, it is NOT all that critical.

Where is the location of the Cmos battery for my

You really need a service manual to try & locate the CMOS battery. With laptops the CMOS battery can be different on each model. These are often located on the motherboard below the keyboard, but a service manual should help you.

CMOS

The cmos on the Pavilion is going to be in one of three places, and will be one of two styles of battery. The cmos style will be either a large watch type battery about the size of a nickle located in a slot on the mother board, or in a yellow or greenish pouch with two wires leading to a connector, located under a cover on the bottom of the machine, or under the keyboard.
