Question about Memorex MT2206 TV

Open Question

I have a Memorex MLTD 3222 model which I have had for about 4 years. I turned it on the other night and the Memorex logo came up on the screen and then disappeared and the screen went black. At first there was sound only and then after turning it on and off several times now there is no sound and only a black screen. I thought it was the cable connecting so had the Comcast guy out and he says the problem is with the t.v. Could you advice me as to whether it would could cost prohibitive to fix it or if I should try to find a repair man to fix it?

How to do an update on memorex lcd mlt 3222

If you mean a firmware update to the MLTD3222, there is no way for a user to update this TV with built-in DVD player. The manufacturer doesn't provide updates and has no way to access them from a DVD, USB flash drive or SD card. (The manual for the related MLTD2622 is available from Memorex support: http://support.memorex.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/939 . )

I wish that I had better news for you.

My screen goes directly to black when I turn on the television. The Memorex trademark comes up first and that's it.

I worked in electronic repair for 20 + years and recently have have this model in my shop...the problem turned out to be a ruptured electrolytic capacitor on the power supply board reference number EC17 in the backlight inverter supply....Changed this capacitor along with the capacitor next to it ref # EC18, and television worked fine...these capacitors are rated for high temp and high frequency...their value is 10uF/450Volt 105 degrees C...you can obtain them from NTE electronics at a cost of about 4-6 dollars each.

Memorex mlt3221. white screen, no sound, no function.

Check the power supply module for bad DC filter caps first, then check the backlight inverter board for shorts.

I am looking for a usuer manual for a Memorex 26 inch flat screen TV. Serial #042380404588, Model MLTD 2622. Where do I find this?

Below is a link to your manual. Just copy and past it in your browser's address bar. It's in.pdf format so you'll need Adobe reader to view it. You can also copy it from the save button in the upper left side tool bar (little floppy disc icon).
Hop this helps.

No power inside tv outlet is good and fuse is good. power cord is plug in on both sides.

D10 is shorted. HER304 in middle of Power supply board near large electrolytic cap. Replace with Radio Shack 276-1144 3A 400PIV Diode. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH HIGH VOLTAGE PRESENT ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD. UNPLUG POWER CORD!!! OBSERVE PROPER POLARITY WHEN REPLACING DIODE-LOOK WHERE THE BAND IS.

PS- I just fixed the same model this morning.
