Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you did not mention your picture file types. mostly default software in windows only supported opening jpeg formats. other file types like those captured by high end camera can be open with photoshop or similar software. to check this right click on the picture and on the popup option go to open with> your system might suggest application that can open your picture usually windows photo viewer or MS office picture manager

I downloaded a jpeg picture and can't open it

Can't open it? Can you open other pictures? Maybe it's not a JPeg? Right click on the downloaded picture file, then click Properties. Does Properties say JPEG as the type?

How do I save a jpg photo to my computer that has been sent via e-mail and give it a file name? I have a group of jpeg photos that were sent via e-mail, how do I delete the ones I don't want? My...

This depends of the email client you are using. If they are sent as attachments then save those attachments or download them to your hard drive. If they are embedded in the email then you will want to right click on the pictures and choose 'save as'.
Once the pictures are in the desired folder you can right click on the file again and choose 'rename' This will give you the option to name the picture anyway you like.

Jpeg 2000 format reader

1st and Foremost! An unexpected file attachment in email is often virus or malware loaded. If you're sure you want to, here's some info:

Jpeg 2000 is another image format specification developed by the JPEG group (Joint Picture Experts group) It's a more compressible and potentially higher quality image/picture format. Common file extensions include J2k and jp2.

In order to view JPEG2000 images, you'll need to obtain some software that supports this format. There are likely many references to available software, you'll have to determine your needs and which particular software that you prefer.
