Question about Bissell ProHeat Turbo Deep Cleaner Upright Steam Vacuum

1 Answer

My Bissell Proheat carpet shampooer won't spray water thru the floor mode, it will for the furniture hose. I've taken everything apart, including the heater, and I've tried to prime the pump by the two means I've read about, but to no avail. Any more ideas, anyone?

If no response when you put the switch on in the 'floor mode' check the switch. It might be partially malfunctioning.
Check for kinks or holes in the line.

First check that the top cover on the back side hasn't come loose. Sometimes the plastic around the screws break away and the top starts to separate, raising the tank, and no spray. Make sure that the gaket is on the valve at the bottom of the tank and not sitting loose in the hole. Check the pump belt. The pump may be bad.

SOURCE: My bissell carpet shampooer won't spray out water

The tubes inside the machine are probably clogged. Dismantle top hood and disconnect the three lines at the pump, open up entire top housing and inspect heater. Disconnect two tubes and heater and blow out with air compressor. That will spray all the junk, soap that has built up and your machine will be good as new. If you can't do this yourself, contact bissell and ask where your local repair center is
