Question about LG LDF6810ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

LG Dishwasher leaks!! New E1 Code just fixed an HE Code, gasket not broke, one of the electrical connections underneath had come loose so I just clipped it back on. I have not hooked everything up again yet. I'm afraid it's gonna just leak again and I don't see anything on the underside where the water could be coming from.

Http://lgdishwasher.yolasite.com/ MINE JUST STARTED AGAIN TODAY. SWOLLEN BOTTOM DOOR GASKET LOOKS LIKE HILLS UP AND DOWN. ALLOWING WATER TO OVER FLOW DOOR BOTTOM. GETS TRAPPED BEHIND GASKET. PAN HAS LITTLE WATER WHEN YOU OPEN DOOR. BUT CAN SEE RUN OUT OVER EDGE WHEN RUNNING WITHOUT OUTER DOOR SKIN, ALSO LEAKS AT TOP CORNERS DUE TO DEFORMED CORNER GASKET. THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE GASKET ROUND IN CORNERS TO KEEP IT SEALING, HAD TO MAKE C METAL CLIPS 4 INCHES LONG TO HOLD BOTTOM GASKET TIGHT TO BOTTOM PAN, USED 4 CLIPS AND TWO SMALLER AT ENDS

SOURCE: Error Code OE

Hi there,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.

else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

Good Luck!!!

Problem solved - it was not the gasket - it was the vent tube as defined in one of your on-line reported solutions. Thank you!!!

LG Dishwasher Displaying Fault Code E1 LDF7810BB/01 LEAKAGE ERROR // Excessive pump motor RPM due to water leakage
The manufacturer has assigned this error or fault code to indicate that when the drain pump is running it is not experiencing the back pressure it expects. This is usually an indication that there is a water leak in the drain system. Check all hoses and connections. Check under the dishwasher for any major leak. If all checks out, be certain there is a proper loop in the drain hose to prevent siphoning. Finally, if the problem persists, the drain pump itself might be defective.

Help with my dishwasher

First you must check to see where the water is coming from. If it is coming from the front of the door then you will need a new bottom door gasket. If the leak is coming from underneath, then you must remove 2 screws from the bottom toe panel. Check underneath for possible loose water connections or a cracked sump. Once you determine source of leak you can then obtain necessary parts.

I have a LG dishwasher, model LDF7920ST, it has been displaying error E1 , what does this mean

E1 means leakage error. You need to check around the unit, and under the sink where the drain hose connects plumbing underneath.

It's possible the dishwasher may need to be uninstalled and checked for leaks. Please post back.

The leak is coming from the loose gasket in the fan assembly (blower) connected to the vent cover. What I did to fix my leak was a simple step of adding petroleum jelly (e.g., Vaseline) around the gasket holder and reuse the same gasket (clean all parts first, including the gunk inside the fan blower assembly) and the leak stopped!! My wife was so proud of me!

I have a LG Diswasher LD 2050 with a trouble Code E1. The manual says "Water leakage in hose connection" "water is leak by damage" Ihave check and everything is Okay. It let water in and when it start...

The most common problem on an LG dishwasher when error code E1 is reported but there is no actual leak found is the problem of a natural syphon being created by improper installation of the dishwasher. Pretty easy to fix:  Either add an Air Gap valve (available at any hardware store for almost free) or follow the drain hose from the dishwasher to the drain. Raise the hose and attach the hose to the up onto the bottom of the countertop. Adding that "rise" eliminates the possibility for the syphon effect to drain the dishwasher before the drain cycle begins.
If the hose ever fall back down, the problem will return immediately.  Adding the Air Gap valve is harder but is far more permanent (and complies with construction codes that really should not be ignored.)

Lg dishwasher lds 5811st E1 error code

Hi Chaz,

The impeller breaks on the motor shaft. The motor still turns, but the impeller doesn't, so it doesn't pump water. Because the machine senses there is no water pressure from the pump, it shuts down & displays E1 (it thinks there's a water leak, due to no pressure)
Unfortunately the motor/impeller is only available as a complete assembly

Hope this helps
