How do I replace a broken door spring?

You can call a local garage door repair shop to get replacements. They should have springs that will work with your garage door depending on if the door is for a single-car or double-car garage, or if the door is made out of wood versus steel. Usually both of your springs will have to be replaced for safety reasons. You should not replace the spring yourself unless you are a trained professional with the proper equipment because the springs are very dangerous and cause serious injury.

Change springs on garage door

It's is straight forward. Select a replacement spring with the same tension color as the original spring. The color is applied to one of the hooks. Above all thread the safety wire through the center of the spring.

Vcr door won't open

It's probably just a little spring that has come. Or that a latch as come out of place. You can sometimes correct it by removing the front side part. You will have to take off the top cover and sometimes the base to get to the screws that hold the front on.

When pressing the eject button the front door doesn't open (it ejects the tape, but have to manually lift up the door to let the tape out). How can I fix this problem?

It's probably a small spring that has detached itself from the door. There might be some plastic damage, which could be repaired. The only way to see what is happening is to remove the top cover and eject the tape.

Tape wont eject small spring found

Take off top of vcr to expose the tape carriage lift tape door, on the lhs/rhs you shouls see the other small spring fit the spring that you have to the opposite side and try to eject your video cassette, the spring is the part that is stopping from ejecting the tape hiopefully once you have reattached the spring all should be well.

Vcr U 295 serial no 15147 Vcr grabs the tape. I found a small spring which was stretched out and seems as well to be too long. Pls advise what the lenght of this spring should be and where it should be...

well it may not actully grab the tape. but maybe the spring is broekn, take of f top cover of vcr and watch tape as it plays. is the right hand wheel turning. if not thats the probem. the wheel must turn in order for the player to run smoothly, and eliminate tape slack. when theres no tape in it, look between the 2 spindles. is it a gear or an idler wheel with rubber abnd. the rubnber bands are a pain as friction from that turns the right wheel. check the band for cracks or glazing, replace if necessary. u may also need to inspect/ replace the rubber band on underside. there should not be to much play on the underside band either. tip- if no replacement parts are available at a local shop, no problem. use an ordinary rubber band of same similar size to original. it should do.

Not eject

On my Sony SLV-281P DVD/VCR Combo, if you pull down the spring loaded door for DVD you will see a white gear on the left side under tray....rotate that gear counter-clockwise. This will manually drive out the DVD tray far enough to enable you to pull it out the rest of the way.

Microwave Oven Door Spring Replacement

Remove the front panel by removing the screws located on the inside of the door (note hold door inplace, since it is heavy and will fall out after screws removed). Unscrew screws located on bottom of plastic retainer (2 each) Remove tension spring. Note 2 are included right and left. Note color of spring on end, different springs for different door types, stainless, black, beige or white. Replace all in reverse order.

Neither deck will open to insert tapes in my dual deck vcr

It seems they didnt refirbish it, you should return it..

If for some reason you cant return it.

The problem is your carriage unit is damaged
The carriage unit is the parts that load the tape into the vcr
If you think you are able you can open it up and look if any springs have fallen out. If not then change the unit.

If you cant fix it your self a technician can easily do it for you since it isnt that hard and somplicated to repair, you just need good retainence
