I have a magnovox TB110mw9 reciever that the audio button on remote does not work. it is hooked to a magnovox 20mt1331/17 tv. we have a RCA universal 4 device remote programmed to both. my 2 year old has some how changed the audio settings on the reciever and a couple of the channels... contacted both magnovox (who tell me to buy a neew remote... don't have $30 to do that) and RCA (who told me to contact magnovox...) anyone have any suggestions? I have tried to push all the buttons nothing changes the audio. is there a cheap universal (20 or less) that has a button that will change the audio settings????

Universals do not do specific buttons like the AUDIO button on your Magnavox. Instead of wasting up to $20 on a universal that probably will not work, you should by the original remote for whatever it costs, because you know it will do all the features for your Magnavox unit that it has to offer. Many times ReplacementRemotes.com will get Refurbished remote available for really cheap. LIke $10 - $15. You can subscribe to the product so next time they get one in, the site will notify you immediately that they are in-stock.

That was what I wound up doing ...the day before the remote got here the channels reset themselves...so apparently it will revert to the original settings in 2 weeks...still trying to figure out what the two year old did in the first place

I have a Magnavox sdtv converter TB110MW9 the remote stopped woring. i now have a RCA RCR314WZ/RCR313BZ universl remote. Can't seem to program it. Please help if you can, send codes.

Some of the newer RCA universal remotes can handle STBs. Use code search to find something suitable. If a search through all codes contained in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not contain all possible codes.

I just purchased a Sony flat screen tv and need advice on what wires I need to connect my Denon AVR-3300 to it or to the dish cable box? My remote has these options on the remote to listen in...

Your reciever has three digital optical inputs so, what it comes down to is how many thing do you want to hook up and what input/otput do you have on your TV. Best case scenario would be to hook your cable box directly to your TV Via HDMI out, if you have HD, on your cable box to Sat/cable input on your TV. Next best would be using componenet cables for video and digital optical for audio. Last would be RCA(yellow, white and red, from Cable box to TV input. Then, you would connect your TV to receiver via(best) digital optical, or RCA. You can try to patch the video through the reciever using component or RCA to TV/DBS on receiver then out to TV but. alot of times you will lose the video in the transfer and it uses more cables, thus more margiin for error. You would set your TV menu to cable/sat and your reciever to which ever input you choose.

Can not figure out how to hook the rca system to the tv and satellite receiver,he either gets a picture or sound, can't get both. the user manual we had is very worn and can not be read anymore. can...

The all time best way to hook up the system would be, depending on TV's input output connections, would be hook the satellite receiver directly to TV input, best being HDMI, second being component video(in this case you would use separate audio cable(s), either digital optical, or RCA. Then provide audio out from TV to reciever using digital optical or RCA. You can try to pass video through the reciever however, it is not your best route and you may get a lag between video and audio. Make and model numbers would help in this situation.

I can program my RCA universal remote to my magnavox tv. It turns it on and off but I can't change channels.

You may not have the correct code for your Magnovox TV. I should try some of the other codes for Magnovox to see if they work better.
Magnovox TV remote codes: 006,007,010,011,013,016,027,033,035,043,066,087,089
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

I want to hook a system

you will only be able to get digital surround( dolby digital ) from your dvd player( by the coax or optical digital connections ) , the rest will only be in virtual surround

from the dtv box plug the yellow video jack(RCA) into the vcr video input , then plug the audio jack or jacks into the audio input on the vcr. from the vcr hook the audio out to the audio in on the reciever( tv/vcr/sat... input ) , then also connect RF out from the VCR to RF in on the TV .
for the dvd player hook the "s-video out" to the "s-video in" on the tv , then the audio L and R on same s-video input , then send the audio out connection on tv to L and R input on reciever dvd L and R input , then you will need to connect the optical from the dvd player to the reciever or coax connections for the dolby digital on the reciever to work

Hooking up home theater

Run a regular RCA type audio cable from your TV audio out to your Home Theatre audio in. That is what I have done recently with my Samsung LCD and Home Theater. You then have to put your Home Theater on Aux 1 or Aux 2 to get the sound from TV. Ensure your TV's volume is off.
