If you can take the machine apart, perhaps replace the deck, if replacement isnt possible try coating it with a polyurathane in order to help reglue the fibers togeter. particle board WILL degrade over time with stress especially running.

SOURCE: lubricating a treadmill

The only lube required is between the walking belt and the deck. You can get the lube from iconfitness.com. Lift the walking belt and squirt some on the deck from each side, underneath the belt in the area where you usually walk. Walk on it for a few minutes to spread the lube around.

SOURCE: I have a noisy Pro-Form Model 285T treadmill

Hey Richard Depending on the noise it could be one of several components failing. If loud clanking or clunking noises these components are Drive Motor, Front or Rear Rollers.
If it is a loud humming noise increasing and decreasing when planting yours feet then it is either the Inductor ( square object ) or the internal windings of the Drive Motor.
Unplug your unit remove the motor shroud with a long shaft flat tip screw driver you'll be able to pin point the problem with this tool.
Now locate front shaft and rear roller tension adjusting bolt ( refer to owners Manual) plug in unit, start unit and touch flat tip on the shaft and place your ear on the handle the noise will be amplified and you will be able to locate the noise repeat this procedure on the other above mentioned components if problem is not found. GOOD LUCK!

What kind of lubricant fdo you use on treadmill decks

Silicone spray. Did you put it between the deck and the underside of the running belt? Not on the surface of the belt ( where you walk ) . if you put in on the top of the belt , then this is why it is slippery.

My treadmill walking belt move but when I stand on it it stops, but the motor is on

Dear Sir:
This a problem from worn deck vs deck belt.

The cause is lubrication and lack of maintenance. That produce enough friction, that design of electronic system shut down the machine for to protect the electronic design.

Lubricate in according with your user manual, section Maintenance.

Try to run the software calibration for easy diagnose and trouble.

See my personal TIPS for help.

Dear Sir:

Thank you by your request.

This happen when the lack of lubrication between deck vs walk belt, in other words, NOT maintenance.

2) the lack of lubrication produce friction ENOUGH between deck vs walk belt, for that reason the electronic design protect the electronic circuits and trigger the shut down for to protect the electronic.

attached is my block diagram design for diagnose and troubleshooting.

Treadmill shuts off in middle of workout

A treadmill will shut down from to much friction which is due to high motor current because the walkbelt and deck are not properly lubricated. I would recommend replacing the motor controller, walkbelt, deck and applying .5 oz of lubricant on the deck every 3-6 months or 100 hours of use. This will extend your treadmill's life many years.

CLEANING DAILY: Perspiration should be wiped from the control console and treadmill surfaces after your workout. CLEANING WEEKLY: You should wipe down your treadmill once a week with a water dampened, soft cloth. Be careful not to get excessive moisture between the edge of the digital display panel and the console, as this might create an electrical hazard or cause the electronics to fail. IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLEAN OR WIPE THE TOP OF THE DECK UNDER THE CENTER OF THE RUNNING BELT. MONTHLY: Clean dust and dirt that might accumulate under and behind your treadmill once a month. Small rubber particles from the soles of walking shoes will accumulate alongside the belt and also behind the unit

Where do i put lubricant in my reebok treadmill t5.1

To lubricate your treadmill, start by lifting the edge of the walking belt and spread the lubricant between the belt and deck. Once you have finished on one side, do the same to the other side. When you finished both sides, start the treadmill at around 3 mph. Then walk on the treadmill to spread the lubricant on the deck for about a minute. Then your done.
