SOURCE: How to install a water pump for a 1997 acura tl

I suggest that you visit the autozone.com website and register the car information. It doesn't cost anything and will give you access to an online repair manual for the car. The steps for replacing the water pump should be available there. It's a handy resource for anyone doing their own automotive maintenance and I'm sure you will find it useful. Sure hope so and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

the timing is off you need to readjust it. most likely the motor is running rough because of inaccurate combustion.

1997 Acura CL 2.2, car cranks but will not start, does not have spark. When trying to start the D4 light will blink. Have changed fuel pump, distribitor, injector relay, computer, ignition relay under dash...

have u checked ur timing chain/belt? or even the crankshaft sensor? The crank sensor (if bad or broke) will cut out the spark to ur plugs. hope this helps

Engine light on

That is a good question but the answer is POSSIBLE but generally NO... and I will explain why

O2 Sensors read the amount of Unburned fuel in the Exhaust and sends the readings back to the Computer. So the computer gets the readings from BEFORE and AFTER the Catalytic converter and "METERS" the amount of fuel it puts into the engine.

The Timing Belt is what keeps the CRANKSHAFT and CAMSHAFT in perfect harmony so that Valves open and Close at the right time. Spark Plugs are firing the Fuel at precisely the right time... All the Orchestra is done by the Timing Belt.

Now, if the Timing Belt was installed improperly (which is VERY EASY TO DO), you would notice a slight sluggish or poorly running engine. Your engine will run being 2-3 teeth off. But you would notice it being off by the way it runs

So can it effect the O2 Sensor? It could but not normally if your car is running properly

1992 acura integra wont stay running

You need a scan tool hooked up and the fault codes read, suspect you have a crankshaft position sensor or igniter module issue going on here. Keep in mind that is just a guess so don't assume this is the problem get the testing done..

My car is run hot the fan don't be on when the car on it come on when I turn the car off and I just change my water pump and time belt

Please check the timing belt settings, possible it is set a little OFF and resulting in heating due to bad timing.
Secondly check the fan thermostat- thermistor sensor. This can be faulty as the fan is not coming ON. Check the fan relay and voltage from the relay.
