I recommend you see the milliamp-hour (mAh) rating written next to the batteries and your camera, most cameras work at around 2000. You can buy one with more amperage, which will give you more time, but will produce an uncanny heat on more usage. See the rating, and buy accordingly or at the most 500 more from the recommended one. Thank you.

When i shut off computer, time and date reverts to 2003 , new battery etc when turned back on msi ms 7235 ver 1.1

There is not a lot of info, but I'm gonna go with the choice of a laptop, since you say "new battery". There is also another battery in the motherboard, also, you need to set the date from within the BIOS, if you don't set it from the BIOS it will always revert back to the date of manufacture.

Pentax k2000 won't save time and date

In most modern cameras is a little rechargeable battery, that keeps the clock ticking. If your camera was a long time without power, perhaps this battery has died. I would buy a new set NiMH rechargeable or recyclo batteries, because they have a bit less capacity, but can hold power for as long as a year. Then charge them and leave the rechargeable batteries in your camera. Keep your fingers crossed, perhaps the little clock battery will be revived?

Laptop date and time setting get disturbed automatically when i reboot my laptop

When you boot up and the Date & Time is wrong then you correct the Date & Time, then when you shut down and boot up again the Date and Time has changed. This is an indication that the BIOS battery is flat and you need to replace the BIOS battery. Install a new BIOS battery, go into the BIOS setting and set the Date & Time etc. and the new battery will keep your settings stored in the BIOS.

Date/Time resets every time i turn on camera.

Hi, yes, there is a small coin memory battery, usually something like a CR3032 lithium battery. Turn off the camera and insert a new 'coin' battery (correct side up). Close battery cover, turn on camera and go to menu and set time and date. It should remember the time and date for a year or two, provided you put a regular battery on the camera on a regular basis. Also note, some older Sony cameras allow you to set it so that it shows only the date for the 1st 5 seconds when you first turn on the camera that day, then shuts it off unless you want it to superimpose the time and date on the video. Good luck, and let me know if this solves your problem. John

My new HP notebook won't turn on. I've had it for one month. There is a light on the side where it is plugged in, but it won't turn on

Unplug the AC adaptor. Remove the battery. Hold down the start button for 1 minute. Replace the battery and plug in the AC adapter. The computer should reboot.

The time and date has to be set after shutting off.

The BIOS battery keeps the Date and Time correct, if the battery is flat the date and time will be wrong or you will get an error date and time error.
You need to replace the battery with a new one. Your friendly computer shop can help you if you don't know how to change the battery.

Date and clock doesn't remain changed

Inside your computer on your motherboard there is a very small battery. It looks like a watch battery and is called the CMOS battery. The purpose of the battery is to keep a constant flow of electricity flowing through the motherboard so it can keep the time and date program running and also to keep all of your settings. If there was not battery then the date and time would stop when you shut your computer off. So it is time to change the battery for a new one and you will be good. Its not that hard but if you never worked inside a laptop then it is probably better if you found someone experienced to change it.

Turns itself off every time I try to take a photo

I had a similar problem with my Cyber-shot S600. It just turned off every time I tried to take a photo. I bought a Sony recharger + batteries and it fixed the problem. Camera works fine and I'm impressed with the how long the batteries last between charges.
