I have a Hitachi TV. The model number is L42S02A. I bought the TV in Italy. It is dual voltage multifunctional. The TV was shipped back to the states. It was not plugged in from August 2012 until October 2013. When I plugged in the TV, I get nothing. There are no standby lights or anything. It is as if the TV is not getting any power. Please advise.

SOURCE: Hitachi 42HDS69 42 in. Plasma... Problem

Describe the past - How did it fail? One day or acting up for a while? Could be a weak power supply - a bad capacitor on a power supply too. Look for popped up capacitor top inside.

SOURCE: my power light on hitachi lcd is flashing red and

Sadly to the end I can now explain the "problem" of my question by myself ...
Because I'm was not sure if I can handle the "problem" by myself I gave the Screen to a technican at our City with all the Information I found until this point (By the way my suspicion was the defect of something at the power supply unit). Two days later he gave me a call with the information about the error: An error at the power supply unit - spare parts => 50€, Work => 200€).
Unhappily im not yet got at soldering on screens, but for 250€ i would have made a good course for this (and if I can establish i will learn it).

So now again a bit more objectively:
Error / Problem:
TV - Step 1: Power Off
TV - Step 2: Stand-By
TV - Step 3: Power-On
TV - Step 4: Short flashing picture
TV - Step 5: Reverse to Step 1

Solution:
1. Find the defect Fuse/Safe/...
2. Buy the Spare part at eshop2.euras.com
3. Change the parts -> et voilá

Hopefully I could have been a little help for someone.
With kind regards,
NatureOneFreak

My Hitachi tv will not turn on

My Hitachi used to eat Horizontal output transitors. I do not even know if your uinit has that anymore, but if that goes out the unit wont make the B+ voltage needed to power up the unit.

I'm going to Italy. Is it dual voltage?

Italy uses 220 volts, 50 cycles alternating current (AC). If your appliance works on both 110 or 220 then IT'S dual voltage and should work. If it only runs on 110 then you will need a voltage converter to use it on 220.

I've had a few HD TVs that you could disable/enable individual ports on the TV in the Settings menu. Good luck.

I am trying to find a replacement screen for my Hitachi projection tv!!

You can Google it or try Andrews Electronics who is in California but ships all over and has a 800 number and is also on the internet.

Hitachi may also have this but Andrews is Hitachi authorized.

Hi, we have just bought a second hand Hitachi Hi Plasma TV Model PD1, 42PMA400A. We have a wall bracket but what we'd eally like is a stand ... the base plate and two stems that go into the bottom of...

If you search on Ebay for your TV's exact model number, sometimes you can find a replacement stand for it there from someone who has their TV mounted to the wall and is no longer using it. These are normally fairly heavy and bulky items, so Ebay purchase prices and shipping costs can vary widely.

I did not see any for your exact model of TV available there when I looked, but the online selection changes daily, so you can always keep checking back. Just search on Ebay for 'HITACHI TV STAND' or 'HITACHI TV BASE' and you will see a wide variety of them available for different Hitachi TV models as well as what the average price for them is.
Otherwise you can just buy a generic wall mount floor stand for around $100 which bolts to the TV like a wall mount, but actually sits on the floor instead of being bolted to the wall.

Here are some links to a few different models currently available on Ebay which include pictures so you can see what I mean:

Hitachi Projcection TV

If the High Voltage section is working Ok, the relay Could be the culprit.. The cost is negligible, about 40 bucks. The standby voltage needs to be verified as correct before the H.V can switch on. If the HV section is bad, you could be looking at about 150 to 200 bucks to get it back up again.
What model Accorgan do you have? Iorio imported many units from other MFGRS over the past number of years. The last model out was a "J" series, and was manufactured by SEM in Italy, with sub assemblies being built in France, Russia, and Austria. Early models were the "G", "H", and "I" series being built back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, respectively. Those models were manufactured by Elkavox..accordianman
