Question about Logitech Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Chirping noise I have Logitech Z-340 speaker system that has worked well for several years. Recently, the subwoofer has begun making chirping noises. It lasts for about a minute and stops. It happens just a few times per day. I disconnected the cable connecting it to the computer and the noise did not stop. Anyone know what may be causing this problem?

SOURCE: subwoofer isn't working

If your wire connections are normal then the problem is due your woofer speaker. Its your subwoofer circuit error and must be repair thru replacing the damaged Component in the circuit

SOURCE: Subwoofer humming/buzzing

It sounds like one of the internal solder welds to the cable or a/v connections inside the cable box is bad.

Can not get subwoofer z-340 to work with i3 laptop. Speakers work, but not subwoofer

Ensure it is connected according to the manual and plugged into a wall outlet for power. The small speakers might work just being plugged into the computer but the subwoofer requires a much higher voltage to run.

Most likely its broken... if its less than 3 years old, call logitech, they'll send you a whole new system for free without you having to return the old one. Just make sure you have your receipt.

Plug the satellites into the subwoofer, plug the mini jack into your computer, plug it into a wall out, and turn it on.

15 inch velodyne subwoofer making a loud popping sound

If you have changed the signal source, then these may not be the problem at all, it may be that you have the sub output set to low on your processor.

This may be one of these problems.

It could be the "auto on" circuit.
If you change the switch on the back of the unit to always on does it still do this? if not then it is the auto on circuit that is the problem.

The driver mounted servo unit is starting to fail.

A cap in the amplifier input section may be going bad.

You nwill need to contact Velodyne for repair of the unit.

Need wires for z-340

I just got one too. I guess I'll tear it apart and post the pinout. Also have a set of Altec Lansing satalites (ACS340) with the same connector (hmmmm, Z-340 -- ACS340... probably the same thing they just changed some pins)

I let you know!

There must be a control on subwoofer, like a volume control. Turn it and check it. Also check the connections.
