Push and hold down the button on the back for the clock light, the display will start blinking, push again until the hour blinks and again for the minutes.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

There are 2 common mistakes with radio alarm clocks. 1) You have AM/PM backwards either on the actual time or alarm time 2) The volume is mistakenly set all the way down

I have a Philips clock radio. Will the radio come on during a power outage with a battery?

Friend,

I agree that there is a battery in the device. But, it is only to maintain the time during power outage. It is just a button cell good enough to run the clock internally. It does not even show time, despite the clock running. And when the power restores, the time is displayed.

So, the answer to your query is NO.

How do I set the alarm? Please help! Am I supposed to do something after setting the time of the alarm? The display continues to flash the time.

To set your alarm you should be turning your Set Control (the big round button just below the Set Day button) to Alarm 1 or 2. Once you finish setting your time you should be able to turn the Set Control back to Clock and the time should stop flashing. If this does not work you may have a defective unit which you might have to take up with your retailer.

Time lag.

Unfortunately, this is an innate problem with this device. Philips has a newer lineup of AJL models that operate on an atomic clock - real-time.

IMPORTANT! To adjust the clock and alarm times accurately, always make sure
you press the up-up or down buttons separately and not simultaneously.
