I wanna connect my laptop(lenovo G450) to samsung series 4 lcd through hdmi cable

Hello,

A HDMI cable can output both audio and video, whilst some computer with Windows XP cannot automatically switch to HD Audio output as Windows 7 can. Thus manual setup can solve the problem.

After connecting the HDMI cable, Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Sounds and Audio Devices", double-click "Sounds and Audio Devices. Select "Audio" tab on "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" window.

On "Sound playback", change "Default device" from "Conexant HD Audio output" to "NVDIA High Definition Audio".

Your television should have several HDMI ports, select the appropriate HDMI port number and check if TV is not muted.

Hope this helps.

Audio output and audio input

Laptops have limited audio input and audio output.
They have a stereo headphone output and a mono mic input.
If you want something bettr then i suggest you install a PCMCIA audio card and driver.
Google search the Internet for these devices and you can compare what is available.

How do you install an audio output device to a laptop computer?

It depends if internally your motherboard has everthing attached. alot of times for the newer laptops they solder everthing to the board. Power, board and audio. But it really takes you opening it up and seeing if it is detachable and if you even can install a output device to a laptop.

My recommendation being a tech and a musician. Go buy protools pack that comes with a audio output device that is usb connected. You can find this at Guitar Center or any musician store. Its designed for this type of question.

Hope that helps
