Question about Maytag Neptune MCE8000AY Electric Dryer
Check to make sure vent/air flow is not restricted.
Try to start dryer soon after it stops. If it hums and does not start, motor is cutting out.
If you touch the motor you will find it to be 'very hot' Touch only for 3-4 seconds.

The 'high limit' is tripping> Clean the lint filter and tube all the way in, it's full of lint and the hot air is restricted.

After checking the door switch and belt (both ok) I took the wires
from the thermal fuses-- straight wired them together and the dryer started working. I went to my local appliance center,
purchased the thermal fuse kit --replaced the old fuses--now it
I hope this helps someone else with this problem.
