Gaggenau 200 Series?

If it is similar to the VE260 model, this induction type of cook top is very old. 22 - 23 years if it came with the home when it was built.
I can only offer basic suggestions of which you already probably know.
These induction type cook tops rely on the pan or skillet to be magnetic like stainless steel. If the bottom of the pan has any buildup of residue, this will dramatically reduce the efficiency of the unit.
If the pans are immaculate, then the electronic elements that produce the magnetic induction to heat the coils must be weak. As old as the unit is, it is probably not feasible to have 3 of the elements repaired....
A new top can be purchased much cheaper. Consult Consumers Reports for unbiased product reviews for your best reviews. As a final suggestion, find someone who is qualified to use an electrical multimeter to read the current on both sides of the power receptacle to ensure that your voltage is 230V. A loose connection on the receptacle can cause the elements to have the same result.
Although I can imagine you have already done everything above, I just wanted to send you what I can offer.

NET7452UC Electric Cooktop shows errors 26 and 42. What do they mean?

Problem: Error codes 26 or 42 after turning on too many heating elements.
Potential issue: Damaged main electronic board

Specific case: Error code 42 after turning on more than 3 elements, then already after 2, 1 until none of the cooking element could be turned on, over a period of a few weeks.
Root cause: Dying/blown electrolytic capacitor on the main electronics board.

Solution:
1) Turn off power (circuit breaker) - caution high voltage inside the cooktop
2) Lift the cooktop out of the hole in the countertop and slide it on a flat surface
3) Remove all screws around the metal housing using a torx screwdriver
4) Carefully tilt the glass top out of the housing on the front, noting that there are electrical connections in the rear, and place the rear end of the glass on a stable surface. You may need someone's assistance here.
5) After double-checking that there is no power, record the color coding of the four wires connected to the glass assembly (green for ground, white, black, red from left to right)
6) Next open the black plastic cover by removing four Torx screws.
7) Carefully remove from the connector on the left the the plastic strip connecting to the display board.
8) Carefully remove the circuit board with relays and capacitors that is held in place by plastic tabs.
9) If one of the capacitors is bulging out or showing sings of damage on top, replacing it may fix the appliance. De-soldering a bad capacitor requires some tools and skill. Replace the capacitor with at least the same capacity, voltage and use high-temp. 105C version) Alternatively, instead of replacing a $2 component you will have to replace the entire board.
10) Reassemble and done.

HI,
SAFETY FIRST, Have the unit checked for issues, it not worth the home over a leak. Unless you know about this unit, have your gas company inspect for leaks and supply issues. If you leak is a connection issue, they will advise how to repair, if internal, it should be check right away or prior to using again.
I had seen a simple loose connection cause a lot of damage.
Please be safety, I would be glad to assist you further if needed.

I just bought a jp328sfss and need to know how to wire it to the breaker panel the way it is wired now it only heats water to 120 degrees F the handyman that hooked it up said there was no way to wire it...

It sounds like you better be careful for starters. I also suggest your handyman sticks to painting. In older homes a 208/240 circuit onlt had three wires. New construction and remodeling requires a four wire system. Per code, a black wire is 120VAC, and a red wire is 120VAC. In a 240VAC circuit they would be called L-1 and L-2 respectively. In order to provide 240VAC they must be on seperate phases. The bare wire in your bundle is the ground wire and is at the same potential as neutral, or the white wire in current four wire systems. If you know how to use an electrical test meter, you should show 120VAC from black to bare copper, 120VAC from red to bare copper, and 240VAC from black to red. If this is not the case, I strongly suggest you have an electrician come in and take care of it in your breaker panel. *****Electricity is nothing to fool around with if you are not absolutely sure you know what you are doing. A loose connection, a wrong connection can result in fire, serious injury or death. It's worth a service call to a licensed electrician or qualified appliance service technician to give you peace of mind, and years of safe use of your new cooktop.

I've seen this problem before. It happens when spillage get's into the ignitor switches. The switches are mounted on top of the gas turn-on valves. You have to replace all the ignitor switches because they are connected into wire harness. Rich

I have a GE JGP932 gas cooktop. All 4 igniters are

All four a supposedto spark....most ranges are like that. Check for, in order and only as far as you're comfortable:

1. Partially closed gas valves
2. Kinked/twisted flex connector
3. Blockage in tubing (grease buildup is pretty common - blowing through it often works)

4. Clogged inlet screen on regulator. N.B. Only do this if you're confident you can reassemble it safely as it must be done safely and correctly. If not taken apart carefully, you may warp/bend a key component. If not reaasembled correctly you could have a gas leak.

Good Luck.

GE gas cooktop

Wow, never heard of that,.... bleeding through glass? I checked the GE service web site and there are no Service Bulletins relating to anything like this. I guess if it were mine and I had that history with it, I'd try the new top, but removing the gasket and first putting a layer of foil duct tape on the underside of the new glass top, then use some new foam gasket material under the cooktop. Good luck. Please don't bother to rate this solution, as anything but a fixya will lower my rating. Thanks.

Safety lock on Neff hob

I have a Neff T4344N0/08. I cannot stop all four hobs flashing - ie: I press the 'on' button all four flash, I then choose which one I want to use plus the number but they all keep flashing instead of stopping after the usual three or four. Please help - have I pressed something I shouldn't, perhaps a child lock?

Smalltree, You may want to make sure that they have 220 wired to the cooktop. I've seen a lot of new construction where they are hooking the cooktops up to 120V and wondering why they're not working. Check this first and post back..Catriver.
