This issue needs to be resolved by the techs at Ahead Software. Sometimes you need to disable antivirus to have correct install (especially Norton), You did not mention your OS or antivirus.
Upgrade support is typically free.

Did you install something rare at your palm??? Is your palm Sayin "Fatal Exeption" when you Reset it??? If you install something rare and after that your palm is saying taht you can...

Reset it normally... If after that your palm show again that message you can;
Do a warm Reset:
Pres de up scroll when resseting.. when you so the Palm logo you can stop press the reset botom... There you will see the configuration screen... If it is not more the "fatal exeption" message you can uninstall what is doing the problem... you can hot sync your palm now... after that... do a soft reset and-If you uninstall what is doing the problem- you are not going to saw any more that message... if it is not resulting...

Visor Deluxe OS3.0.1 Fatal Error

Your application is for an upgraded version of the Palm OS. Say you had a Palm OS version 2 or something. If you download an application for Palm OS 5, obviously it won't work because the application is for a later version. Make sense? To remedy this, you will have to delete the application and get one with a version that matches or is lower than your Palm's.

Fatal Exception

Make sure you have more than 25% space left on your device and try again. If this fails then try a hard reset: hold down power button and press reset.

Fatal exception

Sounds like a third-party app is causing the problem.

Try Palm's own guide to diagnosis and you should find out what.

Fatal Exception every time I sync.

Check docs to go and Avantgo Documents to Go and Avantgo are usually the culprit with me; if you use these try to reinstall. Check (delete and reinstall) "complex" applications, build to be able to use databases on the SD card. The final straw is the procedure suggested by Palm; -make a copy of your back-up from the palm directory; program files/palmone/van/backup. - do a hard reset - reinstall the applications one by one, hotsync after every install until you have found the offending application

What is LyncHS, and Why am I crashing EVERY day?!

LyncHS, Zire 72, Soft Reset and XP Professional I do a sync and my PDA crashes... I have to do a soft reset almost every single time. I have been having the same exact problem but cannot seem to find anyone who can help!!!! Before I got my Zire 72 I had this problem with my Sony Clie. I even narrowed it down to this LyncHS application and still could not get help. I finally purchased a new PDA because I was getting tired of this happening. It was not the PDA... it is the Palm OS or a Palm application that is a problem. I have not installed ANY third party applications so PalmOne needs to quit trying to tell me to uninstall those. MitaMe, you are absolutely correct... this is not acceptable and since I am not the only one having problems, I fully expect PalmOne to take it more seriously and try to resolve it. I should not have to perform a soft reset most every time I sync on my Windows XP Professional PC. By the way, I sync on my computer at home which is not Windows XP Pro and this does NOT happen.
