Dyson DC04 cylinder stuck. - Dyson DC04 HEPA Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

    It was stuck in the machine. I eventually figured out that the internal catch wasn't releasing. I took off the hose assembly and pushed the catch with a screwdriver and that worked.

remove base cover by 3 'screws' 1/2 turn anti clockwise and clean well remove fibres replace cover and re try.

    The cylinder on my Dyson DC04 (silver/lime) is stuck on. It was OK yesterday when I emptied it.


    VERY gently tap it with a non-metal object, like a wood handle or something to see if that will loosen it up. Then, try using a flat-edged screwdriver to pry it loose from it's base, but VERY gently, so as not to damage it.
