The display on my hitachi axm68d is displaying wait and will not progress behind this for a considerable period and this renders the system useless. Can anyone suggest the fault and repair procedure please.

fault "blk 0 chksum error" is attributable to a corrupt firmware. Fortunately the firmware can be reloaded and restore the printer in operating condition. You can download a firmware from the tallygenicom.com site under support and drivers then download it in your PC. Normally you need to put the printer is flash download mode also instruction can be seen from the site. If you cannot do this I can assist you with this.

It is unlikely anyone could help you solve this problem over email but it is impossible without more information. The make and model of the phone would be very important. If your phone has a common problem with the LCD that could be easily fixed we would need to know what type of phone it is.

With what I know so far, unless your phone is worth spending $75 or more repairing it then it is a throw away item. Most likely the LCD would need to be replaced at a cost of $10 to $40 plus shipping, labor, etc... Worse yet, MOST LCDs are just not available.

Dear blxriverrat,
Optical Lens of Home Theater got stuck and its sled-mechanism doesn't move, thats why you see message "please wait" If you can handle this system then open its top cover, open plastic cover on CD mechanism and push the Optical Lens inward-outward 2-3 times carefully. No need to say, 1st unplug your theater system from A/C outlet before opening top cover.

PowerSpec computers, as do all personal computers, have a motherboard inside that provides power and support to every piece of hardware that makes up the entire machine.

When your computer is first turned on, a small chip on the motherboard that houses a small piece of software called the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) fires up before anything else and directs the startup processes for the rest of the computer.

By entering the BIOS settings, you can alter these startup procedures and control the power flow to certain components or stop them from starting up entirely.

The BIOS settings are only recommended for advanced users, as an improper change can stop your computer from starting up. Shut Down


Shut down your computer completely.
Do not make it hibernate or reset.

You need a fresh startup to enter the BIOS settings.
Waiting Period

Wait about 10 or 15 seconds after shutdown to allow the computer to become completely dormant.

Rebooting

Turn the computer back on and immediately begin pressing the "Delete" button on your keyboard at regular intervals (every two seconds).

Eventually the BIOS settings appear.

The display will look monochromatic and antiquated when compared to a modern Windows display.

This is typical of the BIOS setup screen.
Using the BIOS Menu

Using the keyboard arrow keys to move around the BIOS menu advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to USB press "Enter" to select options once they are highlighted.
Press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

Big black smudge covering most of screen. Looks like eagle wings, renders unit useless, what has happened?


you have smashed the display panel, I call it ink bleed. The entire screen needs to be replace, 53.00 inclusive of return p&p

My cordless mouse will not go off when I shutdown my computer, I always have to remove the bat- teries.


Your PC shutting down has no control over the mouse but it will shut down on its own after a few minutes of no activity. This is normal.

My vauxhall stereo is stuck on safe mode how do i unblock it i have lost the code


1. turn ignition on (dash warning lights on)
2. If radio turned on, turn it off.
3. Press AS button in, and hold it in while turning radio on.
4. Wait approx 10 seconds (do not release AS button).
5. Radio should beep, and display should now read 10 - - - - (assuming no tries have been made in the past with the wrong code)
6. use pre-set button "1" to scroll the first digit in the display to the number you want (it goes 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 then back to 0)
7. Use pre-set "2" for second digit, etc.
8. Once display reads 10 followed by the four digit security code press and hold AS button for about 10 seconds, until the radio beeps.
9. If correct code entered display will now read "code" briefly, followed by"memory-U" briefly, then radio will reprogram it self.
10. If radio goes back to "safe" the code number is incorrect, or you mis-keyed it.

Note: entering the code incorrectly 10 times will render the radio useless.
After the first 3 tries you need to leave the radio on and the ignition on for increasingly long periods of time before it will let you try again. 7 safe need you to wait at least 30 mins, and more like 1 hour.

WARNING - you only have a max of 10 attempts to get it right, but if still no luck after the 8th attempt, STOP and contact a Vaux dealer.

My apc keeps clicking and the on line and on battery lights keep blinking


Often, it is an expired battery that will cause an issue like this. Since a bad battery renders the APC ups useless, it will usually display blinking lights to let you know that something is wrong. I have the same problem (phone shows no connection to power supply), and it occurs on two new 993 units I recently purchased. When I finally reached an AT&T rep I was told that they would not help me because my service is with Comcast, not AT&T! I was told to go back to the store where I bought them, a useless suggestion. Unfortnately, in this mode, my units cut out in mid conservations, rendering the units essentially useless.
