Kitchenaid prestige dryer not heating

Kitchenaid Dryer Keeps running and clothes remain moist.


Check to make sure you have good airflow to the outside vent. Could have a clogged vent system.

Kitchenaid dryers have real weak heating elements, I would test that first, if you have an ohm meter look for small resistance, an open would mean the heating element is bad.

I have a kitchenaid electric dryer. The model


check thermostat first (it have about 5-8 of them inside) check on continues. if this all of them fine, the you have to check heater on continues too.
also if this is electric dryer check if you have 240v in power outlet.

KitchenAid Gas Dryer wont heat everything else


Does the dryer heat at all? turn you dryer on for about 1 minute then open the door, any heat? yes= check to be sure you venting is good and clear. if good then you have 2 common issues i would check first. the thermal fuse could be blown or the gas valve coils could be bad. give me you model number and i can give you more suggestions of what to check and how

I am trying to find out how old my kitchenaid dryer is the model is YKEYE860WW2 Ser:9JH37361


I believe a Kitchenaid with a "J" in the second position of the serial number would have been manufactured in 1999.
