Question about Yahoo Mail

1 Answer

Return old format

I have just spent an hour discovering that there is no reverting to the old format of yahoo mail. What most bothers me is a change in the terms of service and storage capacities, loss of tabs, and a bunch of other things. First I would like to know whether it is legal for them to force such a change stealthily on people. Secondly I would like to know of alternate email addresses to where I can import all of my yahoo stuff.

On the top right of the email page , where it has 'profile' in a drop down list, drop the list down and choose classic mail, this will change it back to the old format.

I want to be able to erase multiple e mails at once as the old method permitted, you checked them and then delated all-new method to time consuming where is the spell check---very important

You will want to revert back to Mail Classic in order to have this feature back. You can suggest to Yahoo that this is the main reason for switching back. They may integrate this feature into the new version in the future.

To return to Classic Mail, you'll need to follow the instructions below, and have a bit of patience as this will be a manual reset, done by Yahoo.

I cannot maintain yahoo mail. The system keeps saying that yahoo is not responding. I had switched to beta mail last week. That is when all this started. I have to give you someone else's e-mail in order...

return to old e-mail format. top left corner is a button that says help. the 5th box down says return to old mail. Click it and it will ask your for feed back. Let them know the problems you had and click accept. you are now back to the stable previous yahoo format.

I assume you're using the new Yahoo! Mail web page, and you wish to return to the earlier "Yahoo Classic" format. (I prefer the "Classic" format as well.)

You can switch between the two Yahoo formats whenever you like. To change from the new format back to classic, go to "Options" (near upper right corner), click on the small arrow to pull down the menu, then select "Mail Classic".

To change from classic to the new format, click on "All-new Mail" in the upper left corner.

Unable to get yahoo mail.

Re the "error code sec_error_expired_certificate" that I got when trying to access Yahoo mail from Mozilla--turns out the date and time on my computer had reverted back to Jan.2001. Discovered it by accident when setting the time on my watch to the computer this afternoon and computer time showed AM instead of PM. After resetting time and date, no problem getting Yahoo mail. I figure the battery probably needs changing.
