Dark scans Over time our scans have become much darker than the photos we are using. Is there a bulb that needs to be changed? If so, not sure how to get to it and where to buy a replacement.

When I take indoor pictures, the images have become progressivley darker and I have to adjust the white balance to +2 and the flash to almost plus 2 just to get a picture where it used to take great...

Make sure your battery is fully charged. If the battery is not fully charged your flash may not fire at the brightness you need to take a well exposed photo. Also, check your ISO settings. Try taking photos at a higher ISO when the subject is in a dark area. Experiment with the ISO. Good Luck!

You need a new bulb replacement. The owner manual will even instruct you how to change the bulb.

When I use my toshiba laptop with battery the screen is perfect but when I plug it to the AC outlet the screen become dark. What I need to check?

If I get what your saying, the bulb is getting dimmer as you use it. Almost all of the laptops I have worked on with what your describing it is an inverter or a bulb. If it has dark on the sides and then goes dark it may be the bulb going bad which can make the inverter go bad. Just like having bad bulbs in a flourecent light can make the ballast bad.
I would get an inverter from ebay and install it. Its really pretty easy to change (normally). I see you had this done under warranty before. If you dont know how to do this I can tell you how. Get the inverter first and a small screwdriver set then if you need help I posted a description to another persons question and told them how to change the bulb. You should be able to get the idea about the inverter swap from that post or contact me. Hope this helps... Dale

Dark Screen

The lamps in these normally last about 3000 hours (if your really lucky). The bulb will start to loose it brightness as a matter of due course at about the halfway mark. It maybe that you are running the unit in the non economy mode that they are fading faster then normal.
The sets have a reputation for not being good with lamps though.

Have a look at the lamp though, make sure it has been off for at least an hour to let it properly cool and check for dust that has settled on it. Also if you wipe the lamp, make sure it is with a dry cloth, or allow plenty of time for any moisture to completly dry before turning it on if you use a damp cloth.

Please try rephrasing this question. Do you want dark photos to become lighter, or light photos to become darker using photoshop? You are not clear.

Darkening tv picture

The Picture tubes(not bulbs) do and probably are weak. There replace should only be done by a trained service person. One reason would be the hI Voltage issues related to the crt's, as these tubes store alot of HI voltage even after its unplugged for a while, and another reason would be that these tube can very easy implode then explode and that wouldnt be a pretty sight. Third would be the alighnment involved after all three tubes are replace. There ba cross hatch generator and alot of time involved with the alighnment. Please seek a pro to assit you when your ready to spend at least 900 TO 1000 bucks. Good Luck
