GE 15136 timer display stopped working

Try resetting timer, and reprogramming.

The GE brand of electronic box timers is not dependable long-term product. The 30-40 amp contact ratings do not appear consistent with rest of timer quality. I think the amp load is overrated from what I have seen, compared with heavy duty timers like Intermatic GM40AVE series etc.
My local home depot has replaced the GE line of box timers with 100% reliable Intermatic T100 series mechanical timers.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15136
15136 is not battery-operated timer, and there are no repair parts.
15136 timer is rated outdoors, with temperature range -40F to +130F, which sounds like hardened electronics.
But often these cheaper electronic devices with plastic gears and multi-voltage are not hardened for years of dependable service as found with commercial grade timers.
Nor are they protected from surge caused by local power outage or nearby lightning strike.
For most dependable timer, and cost effective, choose T100 series or T170 series with skip-a-day... repair parts available... timer will last decades

I need a light timer that I can set to be on for 50 minutes and off for 10 minutes, and repeat this over a 24 hour period.

Another timer that can be set this way is the Intermatic ET9000 series commercial programmable 365 day timer, which accepts any voltage, and rated 20-30 amp, and has 4000 set points for programming.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-ET90000-Series-Spec.pdf

Another timer series might be useful, and can be programmed by computer and has small relays that install on a card that is installed in computer like installing a modem card, and can interface with zigbee wireless:

FM1D single-channel timer is difficult to program.
Open following links to identify timer and download manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#GM40AVE
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/fmd-20-setpoint-programming-guide.pdf

Timer flowchart starts page 3.
First step is to select format and then set current time.
Format is asking if you want 24hour or 12 hour format:
12 hour is am and pm
24 hour is military time where 11pm at night is hour 23.
Current time is simply the time right now.

Next step is to set program 1 thru 20 (P01 P02 thru P20)
Start by pushing +/- until desired program displays
Each program is set for either ON or OFF.
There are 20 memories available: 10 ON and 10 OFF.
Not necessary to use all 20 memories.
You need to set at least 1 ON time and 1 OFF time.

Make chart of on-off schedule to avoid conflicts in programming: For example ON at 7am Monday and OFF at 9am all-days-of-week will cause timer not to function as expected.
Each ON time is set for hour, minute and day.
Each OFF time is set for hour, minute and day
Press menu to terminate programming.

Link for FMD 2-channel Intermatic timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/fmd-50-setpoint-programming-guide.pdf
1-channel FMD Intermatic timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/GM40AVE-digital-timer-programming.pdf

FMD timers are complex to program, and if timer does not program correctly, then check voltage and polarity of circuit. These timers typically have 1 year limited warranty and can be affected by power surge.
If you have 2-channel timer, then each contact on relay will turn on-and-off at different schedules.
Make sure you don't wire both legs of a 240Volt circuit to to different relays, or the circuit will not turn on-off as expected. To control 240V, just turn off one leg using one of the relays.

If your exact timer does not show, add a comment and describe everything about the timer buttons and appearance, and I will search my files for possible manual.
Grasslin timers were made by GE for many years, and now Intermatic owns the product line.

How to set my grasslin pool time trying to understand to let it run in day and shut off at nite about 6pm so i need to set it that way with the pin

Open following link for setting Intermatic/Grasslin FM1 timer setting instructions:
To set the 24-hour analog timer, you need to move 4 consecutive tripper pins for each hour of run time.
So for 6 am to 6 pm, 48 trippers pins will be moved outward and 48 inward.

How do I set my Hager timer EH711 to on at 7pm and off at 7am

Resourceful do-it-yourselfer will find following information helpful for solving problem.
Max Load 1000Watts incandescent
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-program-Hagar-timer.html#700-series
Manual uses several languages including English
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Hager-EH711-Timer.pdf

Hagar 700 series analog timer has mechanical dial that rotates as time passes.
Segments located on outer edge of dial are moved down-and-out, or up-and-inward to set on-off times.
As dial rotates, segments move lever that turns Load on-off.

With segment timers, all consecutive segments between on and off times have to be pushed in place.
Since EH700 series timer has NO NC terminals, segment position is determined by how timer was wired.
This is because segments-in and segments-out turn different terminals ON.

As a result, the best way to set this timer is to push 10 consecutive segments down-and-out.
Leave rest of segments up-and-inward.
Then manually rotate timer dial to watch when Load turns on-off.

Hagar analog timers also have a switch located in bottom right.
This is the manual override switch.
Set switch in position "I" and then rotate timer dial to watch when Load turns of-off.
Set switch in position "O" and then rotate timer dial again to watch when Load turns of-off.

Manually rotating dial and experimenting with segments and switch will tell resourceful do-it-yourselfer exactly how to set timer.
Once segments and switch are set, then rotate timer hands until current time shows on analog dial face.

Have a kenmore series 70 dryer. Won't shut off

Yes it deffinetley sounds like you may have a timer issue, if your timer stops and the dryer is running, or if the timer keeps going around and around this will be the problem, however there are thermostats inside the dryer and if you have it set on a HEAT and not a TIMED setting the thermostats won't advance the timer because they havent been set.Hope this helps

Thanks.

How do you set up the 12 set points on the t104 when it only gives you two parts to do time

For Intermatic T100 series timers, you simply need to buy more trippers.
Buy extra trippers from Granger:
Notice also that they sell clock motors for Intermatic timers.
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/timer-accessories/timers/electrical/ecatalog/N-8hi

Another thing to keep in mind is that minimum on-off time for Intermatic T100 series and WH series timers is 1 hour.
That is because the trippers are so wide.

For more precise control over timer, and 1 minute on-off times, you can consider electronic timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Boxtype.html

If you have specific job for this timer, add a comment and say what timing specifications you face, and I might be able to recommend a timer choice if current timer is not right.
