Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

Not printing our laserjet has 3 trays total (2 full trays) and is connected via usb. when we send a print job, nothing prints. if we turn the printer off and then back on the job will print. we get 2 audible alarms (usb connect) when the printer is turned back on.

I did the uninstall and reinstall, also changed USB cable, also moved to another pc. The problem was the USB port on the printer & HP tech (in Bangladesh) keeps telling me that my cable is too long (6'). Thanks.

Try changing the USB cable then if doesn't work uninstall printer the unplug. Install drivers first then plug in the machine.

HP Support says “If the Ready light is blinking, and the Go light is on, it indicates Data in the printer memory is waiting to be printed. Pressing the GO button prints from Tray 1 or from another tray if Tray 1 is empty and the paper size is supported in the other Tray. Pressing the JOB CANCEL button cancels the current job and the printer returns to ready.
Make sure the paper size is correctly defined.

try to connect the printer to a computer independently from the network just to make sure if the problem lies with the network or printer.

if you using office go to page setup and select the tray(s) that you want to use for the first page and other pages ( both must be the same ) unless you only want the first page as letter head and the rest on plain paper or something along those lines ?

Also if you go into the properties of the printer and go to advanced and then click on the printing defaults button and see if the options in there are the same or different to whats in printing preferences.

If they are set to tray 1 then it will default to tray 1

Failed to Print Error

Set powermode "allways on" for the lap top. Use an Usb cable no longer then 2 m. Try upgrade firmware for the printer. If still got problem use a powered usb hub between laptop and printer.

Your USB cord may be too long, or you have too many USB devices running. Try removing any other USB device, except the printer and do a test print.

Does a computer on your network shares its printer with other computers on your network?
There is insufficient information on how you configured your printer setup for me to give you a proper answer to your problem.
