What type of battery does a Pulsar pxh227 watch take?

The Pulsar pxh227 uses a sr920sw silver oxide battery. An AG3 alkaline battery will also work, is cheaper, but will not last as long as the sr920sw.

Lost stem on watch. can i get replacement? can i install myself?

mcdevito75 Here, Pulsar a quartz watch. If you lost the stem, the mechanism holding it into the watch maybe damaged, this mechanism also turns your Pulsar watch on / off. Best Bet, visit a small watch repair shop in your area, have them take a look at your Pulsar watch. You could replace the stem yourself but first you"d need the right size stem, (hard to get) then if the mechanism holding the stem in is damaged you"ve wasted your time. Your local small watch repair shop can let you know, and they usually don"t charge to have a look.

I can't open the back of my watch to put a battery into it

If you don't have the right tools don't even try - you'll risk damaging your nice watch. Instead, take it to a watch shop or jewelry store (Sears does it too) and let them do it with the right tools, correct battery and - very important - a new gasket to keep it water resistant. Cost for the battery replacement is about $8.

I don't know what size battery my pulsar watch uses

OPTIONS:
1. Owners manuel
2. Take watch to walmart(or other) and have them replace bat (usually, no labor charge.
3. Bat is sometimes stenciled on case back (very small)
4. Open watch(IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING) you can easily ruin watch. Check # on old battery or if missing check inside of back case
for # .
