There are several extra function keys on your laptop.
Something like "Fn" is common to most of the notebooks, and is used to control secondary fuction of a key.
You will see keys marked with other than the ordinary alphabetic letters. These are the secondary fuctions.
The purpose of all the secondary keys are explained in the manual that accompanies your laptop.
you may have pressed a key combination unknowingly as a result you see this problem. Pressing the same combination will revert it back to normal operation.
You should also check the key contacts are free from dust and other particles. If some thing like milk or water is spilt on it, then it is normal to get these problems, ultil it is cleaned.
