Best Mac MXF File Converter-Import/Edit Canon MXF Files to ProRes 422 MOV to FCP

MXF file format comes from like Panasonic HVX200/HPX300, Canon XF300/XF305, Sony EX camera, etc. It is not compatible with many programs just like Apple Final Cut Pro. So Convert MXF file to FCP MOV Video is a necessary step to do if you want watch your video from your camcorder which export mxf file.

And we know that Apple ProRes 422 , Apple ProRes 4444,introduced in Final Cut Studio, was advertised to one of the codecs to result in less compression and higher data rate/higher quality files for HD editing in Final Cut Pro.

Below is the step-by-step guide for you to quickly Convert/Edit MXF to Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) Final Cut Pro on Final Cut Studio,Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac.

Step 1. Add MXF videos to Aunsoft MXF Video Converter for Mac.

Step 2. Choose Apple ProRes codec for Final Cut Pro.
Click the "Format" option, choose the Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) and navigate to the Final Cut Pro group, you will notice that there are profiles with Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT), Apple ProRes 422(Proxy), Apple ProRes 4444. Here we choose Apple ProRes 422(HQ) (*.mov) as output format. (The Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) codec is intended for offline editing and contains 30 percent of the data rate of Apple ProRes 422, and I recommend you to select Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT) MOV for outputting.)

Step 3. Merge Canon MXF files. (Optional)
Tick the checkbox for "Merge into one file", and the Mac MXF Video Converter will join and combine the video clips into a single file as output.

New Mac tower boosts performance despite speed drop

Last year’s standard Mac Pro () featured a 2.8GHz eight-core Intel Xeon processor based on the Harpertown/Penryn architecture. This year, there are two models: a quad-core system with a 2.66GHz Nehalem Xeon processor, and an eight-core model running two quad-core Xeon processors at 2.26GHz. Also new to the Mac Pros are Nvidia GeForce GT 120 graphics cards and a revamped interior designed to ease user access for upgrading internal components.
Similar but different

Aside from the second optical-drive slot on the front, the Mac Pro continues to use the same big-handled, aluminum case as the Power Mac G5, introduced nearly five years ago. There are some minor changes to the exterior, though—specifically in the type and number of connections. First, the two FireWire 400 connectors from previous generations have been replaced with backward-compatible FireWire 800 ports, bringing the number of FireWire ports to four—two on the front and two on the back. The five USB 2.0 ports, two on the front and three on the back, remain. On the graphics card, one of the two dual-link DVI connectors at the rear of the system has been replaced with a Mini DisplayPort connector, which lets you connect either to Apple’s 24-inch LED Cinema Display () or, with adapters (not included), to a second DVI display.

The new Mac Pros have been remodeled on the inside to provide for easier access to components.

Upon opening the case, you immediately notice major changes in the layout of the components. The memory modules are no longer installed on two sliding trays—instead, the memory and processor all rest on a sled at the bottom of the case, which you remove by releasing two latches. The quad-core Mac Pro has four memory slots that ship with 3GB, 6GB, or 8GB of 1,066MHz DDR3 SDRAM modules; the eight-core Mac Pro has eight DIMM slots for a maximum of 32GB of RAM. The memory design no longer requires the large heat sinks.

The Mac Pro still has four internal cable-free hard-drive slots, using a sliding tray to attach the drives directly to the motherboard. Now, though, the large plastic piece holding the fan near the front of the Mac Pro is much smaller, giving your fingers more room to grip the hard-drive sleds. This is a small but welcome change. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve struggled over the years to remove that first drive. Another nice design change helps ease the removal of PCI cards from the four full-size PCI Express 2.0 card slots. In the past, to remove a card, you’d first need to turn two large thumbscrews that held a small plate keeping the cards in place. Then you had to feel around behind the card, searching for a little plastic tab mounted on the motherboard, which you needed to lift up in order to release the card. With the new Mac Pro, that second step is much easier. You now simply push a single thin bar that extends across all the PCI Express 2.0 slots to release any or all cards. Apple has also made installation of its add-on Apple RAID card much easier: you just put it into the clearly marked top slot, and you’re ready to go.

Installed in the first PCI Express 2.0 slot is the new Nvidia GeForce GT 120 graphics card with 512MB of video RAM; the last generation of Mac Pros came standard with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card with 256MB of memory.

How do i add memory on apple mac pro

If this is a pre unibody (silver keys) then you need to remove the battery and then remove the 3/4 screws (depending on whether it is a 15" or 17") which will give you access to the RAM slots.
If it's a unibody (black keys) then I would not undertake this unless you are confident in dismantling the laptop and possibly voiding your warranty.

IMac 27inch won't boot up

Power issues After ruling out display issues, and if your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps.
  1. Verify you have a good connection from your Mac to the wall outlet by confirming the power cord and adapter are securely connected and plugged in. To check if the wall outlet is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device
  2. If the wall outlet is working and you continue to have no power, try another power cord or adapter if available. If it works you may need a replacement cord or adapter. If you're using a Mac notebook, see Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters for further troubleshooting with MagSafe adapters.
  3. Disconnect all accessories that are plugged in to your computer. This includes things like printers, USB hubs, or mobile devices.
  4. Hold down the power button for ten seconds. Then, press the power button again to see if the computer turns on.
  5. Reset the SMC.
  6. If you recently installed memory or a drive in your Mac, make sure it's compatible, supported, and installed correctly. If possible, reinstall the original memory or drive to see if the issue persists afterwards.
  7. If you're still unable to start up your computer after trying each of these steps, visit an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for further diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail Store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).

My macbook freezes whenver i leave it around for more than an hour

It sounds like the RAM is getting used up, you may need to add/replace it. RAM stands for Random Access Memory, it's what your computer uses to run the tasks that are being preformed at that certain time. What is happening is the RAM in your laptop gets slower and weaker as time goes on, and soon enough it can barely handle doing the simplest of tasks, replacing it should fix this problem. If you bought your mac book over 1.5 years ago doing this should be very easy, just pop out the battery and slip the memory in the slots, memory cost around 50 bucks a GB on ebay, but Apple will do it all for you for about 100 dollars a GB.
