What you do is not talk about THAT at all. What you do is try to generate a conversation. Have a handful of questions all thought out in advance, and ask them. Your reactions to what he is saying will be the first step in getting him to notice you. You do not want to be melodramatic, be real, just be enthusiastic. This may take several tries before you get him talking, but that is the key.
To me the safe road is to like or be interested in what he likes. So you gotta ask to get this info. Hopefully you will find something about which you can ask something, that is obvious.
Best of luck. Remember to SMILE, and show interest through your eyes.

Viscous damping has failed

There is. No one can say, as you forgot to tell us what model TT you have.

Actually, I think you would do well to search Sony turntable forums and/or ask Sony.

Best bet is to take it to a repair guy who knows turntables and have him fix it and then go over it - lubrication, belt, cartridge alignment, etc.

My tv is about 10 years old. 4 days ago we had HD fios installed on our tv. 3 seconds in to watching a HD channel my picture went bad. I am wondering if it was verizons equi that caused this OR if it was...

No the fact that he didnt ask how old really isnt relevant. What happened when you said it went bad? I actually would be like your husband if it was working fine and he hooked it up and it fried it when he was there, I would also push for them to pay for repairs. Installers are not always the brightest guys in the world. I worked 13 years in electronics and cant tell you how many times I was in someones house to fix(not actual damage) things they hooked up wrong. Probably the truth is 10 years is a good run for a rear projection tv to go without needing something fixed.

Not much you can do my friend , I tried locating and using my resources to find you a Brain and it looks like its discontinued, Im sorry to say but this guy played you, he sold you the head unit without the brain, its really messed when people take advantage of honest people like yourself. Try ebay here and there if not your just going to have to upgrade my friend, sorry.

Good luck,

Engine light is on telling me cadalytic converter guy told me i could fix for 750.00 is this resonable or not

Impossible to say without knowing what's caused the light to illuminate. It could just be a warning of a failed lambda probe (oxygen sensor).

Take the car to a few different places and see what they claim is wrong, don't tell them what others have said.

I have a 1985 Goldstar microwave oven model #ER6510. It still works beautifully but the light bulb has burned out and I don't see "HOW" I can access it to change it. Any advice would be greatly...

Hi amyates:

Although I am so tempted to tell you to chuck it and buy something that is actually younger than I am, I found the part you would need. Apparently, not many people carry parts for microwaves from the 80s. How weird.

http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts?s=t-er6510-%3d%3dc253

It costs about $14 without shipping. I talked to an online rep and he said that if you place an order, the tech guys will be more than happy to tell you how to take out the old and install the shiny new one.

If you aren't hip to the idea of having to rely on tech guys, I found manuals... but... since the microwave is, erm, vintage, its far more difficult to find one for free.

I found one service manual that has the instant gratification appeal since it is a download, but it runs around $16. You can find it: http://www.servicemanuals.net/ServiceManual/GOLDSTAR/6510/pos1/results.aspx

This guy doesnt post his rates, but it seems like hes just a collector and would probably charge much less. http://www.analogalley.com/m_goldst.htm

Hope this helps!
