Your XM-SD22X amplifier only has 2 channels. If you want to run 4 speakers then you could parallel 2 speakers on each channel but you need to check that the impedance is not too low. If it is too low then put 2 speakers in series on each channel but this will not be as loud. Regards

Do you bridge a 850.4 four channel amp when it is 2 ohm stable and ur subs are wired up as series/ parallel and there 2 ohm dual voice coil speakers

If you wire 2 ohm dvc speaker parallel that would give you a 1 ohm load. If your amp is only 2 ohm stable that would not work. You would have to wire the speaker in series giving you a 4 ohm load. Then you can bridge the 4 channels into 2 with each speaker running at 4 ohms.
If you want to run a 2 ohm load use all 4 channels on amp and speakers. No need to bridge.
For 2 ohm DVC:
Parallel = connect both + and - together. = 1 ohm
Series = connect + from 1 channel to - from the other channel. = 4 ohm.

Trying to connect 4 dual boss 12 to a 5500 boss class d amp

You can only connect an amp which has an output of 8 ohms to speakers that are 8 ohms are greater. You must NOT connect to speakers less than 8 ohms.
If the amp is 4 ohms you can connect speakers of 4 ohms or greater.
If the amp says 4 to 16 ohms then you can't go lower than 4 ohms.
As long as you stick to that rule the choice of speakers is up to you.

How do i wire my kicker dcvr122 up to a 4 ohm amp

I am going to assume the 2 speakers in the sub are each 4 ohm loads, and are wired together in parallel, creating a 2 ohm load. And your amp pushes 800W at a 2 ohm load. And actually goes down to 1 ohm/1100W. Anyway...

Seems you want to lessen the wattage output of the amp by making a 4 ohm load. To do that, you need to wire the both 2 ohm speakers in SERIES.
In general wiring principles, to wire in SERIES, take the POS terminal from the amp and wire to the POS terminal of first speaker. Take the NEG terminal from the amp and wire to the 2nd speakers' NEG terminal. Then place a "jumper" piece of speaker wire to connect 1st speakers' NEG terminal to 2nd speakers' POS terminal. Now you have a 4 ohm load, and will be pushing 450W from your amp.

This way the load will now be 4 ohms.

Hi I just got a Technics SU V2 amp and can't get sound from the speakers. What size speakers would suit this amp? What is the correct method to connect the speaker leads to the back of this amp,...

Being a 500W amplifier, you need to connect speakers with 300W each. The correct method to connect speakers is red terminal of speaker should be connected to red terminal of amplifier & black to black. The left side to left side speaker & right to right speaker. There may be main & remote terminals. Main speakers are the speakers at local place of the amplifier & remote for remotely placed speakers. I do have Technics SU-V85A which is somewhat similar. Enjoy! A nice piece to listen.

Hello how do I connect my speaker to my mac

Hello there, I am the Elite Expert that will be helping you today, my name is damnor01. Welcome to Fixya.

Go through my published guide entitled How to Install Speakers on your Computer/Laptop!!!

You will need to insert the connector from the speakers into the 3.5mm jack/connector on your laptop. You need to use audio out connector.
You may need to install driver that came with your skeakers, however if they didn't come with a drivers disk then drivers are not needed.

Happy Listening!

What kind of amp do i need for 2 kicker ds6930 140 watts peak and 2 ks6930 6x9 watts peak 150 and 3 Kicker KS350 3-1/2 40 watts each peak

600 Watt to 1000 Watt 4 CHANNEL AMP for the four 6X9's and a less powerfull 4 Channel amp thats at least 200Watts to 400Watts peak for the 3 3-1/2 kicker speakers. Because if you try to connect the 3 3-1/2 speakers to only 1 4 channel amp that the 6X9 speakers are on you risk of overheating the amp and blowing the speakers too!!!

If the speakers are rated at 500W or greater, then you'll need two amps to get their full potential. When you connect two to a single 500W amp, each speaker only gets a max of 250W. Also, check the ohm rating for the outputs of the amp and the ohm rating of the speakers as well. Unmatches speaker/amp impendence also results in poor performance. If you connect two speakers to one terminal, the total impedence of the speakers falls by 1/2 (two 4 ohm speakers wire together will result in 2 ohm impedence). So, if you have an amp rated at 4 ohms, you could connect two 8 ohm speakers to a single output. Hope this helps some!

Convert a 4 om amp to play w/8 om speaker

Connect the two speakers in parallel. That will present a 4 Ohm load to the amp.

IF THE WOOFERS HAVE 2 VOC.COIL EACH HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH THE AMP THAT HAS ONE CHANNEL WITH TWO + AND TWO -.

it depends on the load you want to present to the amp. un 12, 2009 - If woofers are 2 coil, then you definately need to know the impedance of the coils (are they dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm?). For dual 4 ohm speakers you will only be able to acheive a summed load of 1 or 4 ohms. If your amp can handle 1 ohm, then connect this way: 1 ohm: Connect both the positives and the negatives together on each speaker. This puts them in paralell which will result in a 2 ohm load per speaker. After you connect the two 2 ohm loads to the amp, it will see 1 ohm as it's load. If your amp can handle this, this is usually the lowest configuration capable by consumer stuff, (if you are not doing competition or some crazy thing), and few amps are rated for 1 ohm so it's not really recommended and may heat up or blow your amp. 4 ohm: Connect one negative to one positive terminal on one speaker. Drive the other open terminals with the amp. This places coils in series and results in an 8 ohm load per speaker. After connecting both speakers to the amp, the amp will see a 4 ohm load. In both cases, the rates power of the amp (at that load) will be divided equally between the speakers. Jun 12, 2009 - For dual 2 ohm speakers, the only loads you can achieve are .5 ohm (1/2 ohm), and 2 ohm. The connections are the same as above, and this results in: ...If coils for each speaker are wired in paralell, the results are 1 ohm per speaker, and after connection, the amp sees 1/2 an ohm. (.5 ohm) ...If coils are wired in series, the result is 4 ohms per speaker, and the amp will see 2 ohms after both are connected.

The two plugs are what is called Daisy chained this means they are both the same. This is so you can simply hook the speaker to the amp, then from the other plug hook another speaker, then from that speaker hook another speaker, ect...
