Question about LG LW1200ER Air Conditioner

1 Answer

I need help finding replacement parts for 90 plus achiever gas furnace although my problem is the same as the gentleman the error light is blinking 2x I had a service person come out telling me it is the pressure sensors? 30 bucks a pop then calling me today telling me it is now 200 bucks which being a single mom I like the latter better, I though he was doing this off hours but apparently he ordered parts through his company that added their own cost to the manufacturer cost doubling the cost. model number is UGRA-70emaes I have another older gentleman retired from air and furnace work so he will install if I can find the part which I hope will happen here. I also am going to follow the tips giving and make sure the airflow is okay. Thanks for any help

SOURCE: Ruud achiever 90 plus gas furnace not blowing any heat

These new furnaces are trouble. Ive been in the htg trade for 25 yrs. The fan is running because they are now controlled by a timer instead of a temperature control. Rather than sensing a preset temperature and turning on the fan, it comes on by a preset time. Couple of things, does either of the doors have an inspection window? most newer furnaces have what is called a smart board. The board will flash a trouble code. ie: 1 long 2 short etc. #1 turn your thermostat to off, youll need 2 people for this! Go to the furnace, If it has the above mentioned inspection window ( usually about 2" round) while peering through the window have someone turn the thermostat to about 80 degrees. Let the furnace cycle and see if it flashes a code. If it does the codes are usually on the bottom door, May be on the inside. The most common cause is either a bad transformer, bad hot surface ignitor or pressure switch failure. Further questions feel free to ask. Steve

SOURCE: ruud achiever 90 plus furnace will not start with door on.

I would try to check your return air first, making sure there is no blockage and that your air filters are clean. It almost sounds like when you take the cover off, you are pulling enough air into the system for it to run, but as soon as you close it off, it's not getting enough air flow, therefore, tripping a limit switch inside the furnace. Most furnaces will also have the codes for the flashing lights and what they mean on the inside of the door covers.

does the furnace ignite?? your system may not have been lighting and has gone into ignition lockout count the codes of the led lights then remove panel led diagnostic codes are listed there.
if led codes indicate no problem verify capacitor is good and that mtr is getting 115 volts.

The door, you mean the metal cover on the front? if you have the door off and push the safety switch in with your hand everything works fine? I need more info here, but if what I said is right, then the "door" isn't making good contact with the switch.

Ruud Achiever 90 Plus wont start

4 blinks is "pressure switch closed" there are 2 in the system according to the wiring diagram one for the vent system  and one for the drain system ... I just wiggled them and heard one "click" the fault light quit blinking and when I pushed the safety switch back in the furnace fired right up.  That being said is there a good website for learning how to maintain your own furnace?  I'll call a pro if I have to, but shoot I can fix a jet engine... this shouldn't be much worse.
Thanks  dan
