Stuck contactor most likely or thermostat still engaged. Tap on contactor to see if it releases. Call Aire Serv if not

How do I disassemble a central heating unit. To take it out

of course it depends on the type . Gas or electric . were we there able to see it . perhaps we could be more helpful . turn off electric at the mains turn off the gas at the outside shutoff . and lock both in the off position . it depends on where you live if you are required to get permits to do this also . or if you have to hire professionals .

I have a Goodman model # CK30-10.. The fan on the outside unit runs sometimes. I notice when I first turn the unit on, the fan will run 5 to 10 minutes and then shutoff. Is this a capacitor or relay?

Not a relay. It is probably the capacitor. Also may be that the motor bearings are dry and the motor will need to be replaced. Its always less expensive to try the capacitor. Certainly work safe when it comes to run capacitors!

Aph10aa leaking

There is usually a channel to help drain the condensate, it is probably clogged. You will need to open up the unit then put some plastic over the fan motor and anything like relays, switches or contects then bring it outside and use a garden host to clean all of the dirt inside of the unit.

Good luck,

Marty

1. what are reasons why refrigerant compressor burn-out? 2. ice build up on suction line. 3. Insuffecient cooling. 4.Outdoor unit not running, but indoor is operational.

On the split system 1. Can burnout from defect, lightening, etc .. 2. Only way ice will buildup back to outside unit is LOW LOAD.. either from dirty filter, dirty coil or fan blades caked up with dirt. 3.. Poor airflow will cause the poor cooling $ Outdoor unit most likely has a low pressure switch causing the outside unit to shutoff until pressure rises.. Has this helped ?

My radiator fan keeps running after shutoff, i need to know what is a headlamp module

an electric fan may run on after the engine is switched off to stop "hotspots"within the engine, but should switch off after,say,10/15 mins.dependant on outside temp and if you have just come off the highway.
a headlamp module is the whole headlamp lens, glass, fittings all in one unit rather than in bits....supposed to keep it weatherproof.....

My unit is running but not blowing cool air. I went outside and the condenor fan was not moving. Took a stick and shoved a blade and the fan started moving but the air is still not cool inside. I did...

Sometimes on new units it is common for the fan to not start until you give it a push. Did you happen to hear if the compressor was operating? If the unit was froze-up the Insulated Suction line would also be iced over as well. If it wasn`t it is more likely that either the compressor was not operating or it shutoff due to
high discharge pressure and can only be reset on its
own or cooling the compressor off with cold water.

The outside unit will work only briefly and bring the temp. down about 1 degree in 2 hours of running. Then the outside unit turns off for at least 2 to 3 hours.

Does the outside unit completley shutoff or does the
condensor fan keep on operating? If this is the case
the compressor could be overheating and shutting down. Try washing the condensor from inside out.

If you can read electrical diagram on the back of the
condensor electrical panel check to see if it has a
high pressure switch, if this is the case it probably
is cycling off this switch. Wash the Condensor and make sure the fan is operating.

If the big insulated line does not feel cool after 15 min. of operation you could be low on freon.

I need to move a domestic heat pump (extenal part)

Attach refrigerant gauges to the refrigerant pressure service valves.Have a valve wrench at hand.
Start the unit. Using the valve wrench close"tighten" the high side valve. That is the smaller refrigerant line. Watch your gauge pressure as it falls. When the low side pressure(the large line) reaches "0" pressure, tighten the low side valve to turn it off. Once it is tight shutoff the compressor at the outside disconnect power box.
This procedure draws the refrigerant into the outside unit so that you can safely move it without losing or recovering refrigerant.

Central air unit/ Lux500 thermostat

There is usually an overflow tray which has a shutoff valve when the tray is about to overflow water into your house. It is not located outside on your unit but inside where ever the condenser unit is. IF that tray is full of water, your unit will not turn on until it is emptied. Then you need to find out why the tray isn't draining...do you have a blocked drain pipe?

Air conditioning won't work. Thermostat says it's in 'recovery mode'

by the outside unit, you will have a shutoff. pull out the shutoff, and unscrew the cover. 2 cylinder like fuses are inside. It is likely that one or both are bad. When you turn on the AC and the outside fan does not turn on... this is likely this is the solution.
