When you say you "reset" the bios, what do you mean? Did you try to upgrade the bios firmware, and now the machine isn't working? Or is this a machine with a backup copy of the bios, and you were trying to restore from that? Or...did you go into the bios administration and use the "set all values to default" dialog to set everything back to the factory defaults?

We probably need to start back with why you were "resetting" the bios to begin with. So fill me in!

Try clearing your CMOS. Turn off your computer and press the "clr CMOS" switch on the back I/O of the motherboard, this will reset the bios to factory defaults.

845 mother board display in intel logo then shop

Start by pressing F2 repeatedly whilst switching on and this should allow you to get to the BIOS where i suspect you problem is.

Alternate you could reset the BIOS by moving the bios jumper to the clear position and powering on as this sends the board into maintenance mode to allow you to get to the BIOS.

It could also be that one of your components is not seated correctly.
if you have recently added anything or moved the computer then disconnect or remove anything you have added or disconnect each item one at a time and re-seat it (cables cards memory etc etc)

One of those should get you into a position to be able to diagnose the exact cause.

There may be a seperate fuse for the display, but I doubt it. If you shine a flashlight at the display it may become visible. Mine does.

Computer Monitor Switched OFF By BIOS SETTINGS

You will need to reset your BIOS setting to its default.

Every motherboard is equip with a jumper called clrtc (Clear RTC), look in your motherboard manual to find out how to use it to reset your BIOS. Or if you know the type of your motherboard, please share it.

Changed BIOS and now emachine w3052 woulnt boot

try resetting BIOS
On the motherboard will be written clear cmos or bios this will be a small 2 or 3 pin connector
2 pin remove the jumper which is only on one pin and fit it over both for 15 or 20 seconds remove jumper fit back over 1 pin reboot all things being equal your computer should start

3 pin remove jumper from pins noting which pins it is on fit jumper over middle pin and the one it was not on before leave for 15 or 20 seconds replace jumper over original pins and reboot

NO DISPLAY

if you are unable to see the bios boot screen and there is just a flashing cursor in the top left of the screen you may need to reset the bios, if still nothing the cmos chip is faulty and only a replacement motherboard will solve it.
