Their is usually a small pinhole in the front next to the open tray button. Uncoil a paper clip and press it into it firmly. It sometimes takes quite a bit of pressure.

Did that work? Or is there no pinhole? I have more suggestions if you want to take it further. I offered the simplest one first.

Many thanks for your interst - no it didnt work. I have removed the disc mechanism and pulled it aart as much as I can but cant get it down to the point whereby I can fiond a rela3ewse mechanism The drive motor seems to be stuck in the "up" positoin and because of that the door remains closed. - any suggestions as I think I am at the end and will buy a new one (not Panasonic though!

If you're at the point of thinking about buying a new model I would recommend opening it up. You sound pretty tech savvy so I won't insult your intelligence with questions like "Is the player on?". I assume that you've tried unscrewing all of the chassis screws on the outside of the drive housing? Or are you already at the bare bones minimum you can go?

Yep you are right about me - I was a TV tech for about 30 years but that was 20 years ago! I have pulled it apart as far as I can without using a sledge hammer and I cant seem to get to the drive mechanism and can afford to chuck it and get another one. My 3 year old grandaughter jammed it and so I will reduce her inheritance accordingly.

Make sure you use a baseball bat for a proper send off. :o)

Disc loading mechanism fault. The disc do not seat properly inside it. Might be due to a loose loading belt problem. Anyway, you have to take out the mechansm from the device for repair. Contact any service technician. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

3 year old jammed dvd in bluray. How to get the dvd out and restore operation of machine

A DVD should fit without a problem in a blue ray player; but I suspect your use of the word "jammed" indicates something beyond it fitting of not.

Two possibilities: easiest is to find a small unmarked hole somewhere above the tray (assuming it has a tray) where the disc enters the unit. With the power off, insert a long straight pin (opened paper clip works) into the device until you feel a slight resistance. Press just a bit further and you should see the drawer begin to open (don't force it). Once the drawer begins to open, remove the pin and plug the unit in. Hopefully you have now engaged the mechanism that will allow the disc to eject.

If you cannot find the hole, or if this doesn't work, you'll have to remove the cover to get to the mechanism. This is usually a handful of Phillips head screws on the sides and back. If you Panasonic often marks the screws that remove the cover with a small arrow next to the hole to aid in disassembly.

Dvd won't eject

Someone is going to have to open the unit to see if something is jammed in the mechanism---a disc or something out of position.

Sometimes a gentle nudge will restore operation.

No power to the vcr was watching disk hung up now no power

The unit will shut down if there is a jammed mechanism to prevent a power supply from damage.

Someone is going to have to open it and see if the disc can be removed to know if the mechanism will function and allow power back.

The disc is stocked in the disc compartment. We've been trying to eject the disc but it is not responding. What can we do?

Failure of the DISC loading mechanism and also the disc tray settings. This require correct timing to the mode switch and so if there is a shift the loading mechansim will be stuck up. So you will need some assistance to remove and reset the alignment.

Can you manually release a DVD from the Panasonic S32? The DVD player 'died' - with a CD inside. The instructions are silent on a manual solution.

Hi there,

Well you can please follow the below steps -
1. Unplug the DVD player and take the outer casing of the DVD player off. This entails either taking out two or three screws or simply sliding one of the pieces of plastic in either direction.
2. Locate the disc loader cover. The disc loader cover is located where the extending DVD tray finally comes to rest within the DVD player. It's the part that holds the DVD loader in place.
3. Bend the two tabs outward that hold the loader in place. This is a delicate procedure because you don't want to hurt the device. The tabs are relatively easy to break since they're plastic in most cases.
4. Slide the disc tray out. If your disc got stuck before it was read, it's probably still on this tray. If so, your problem is solved. However, if the disc was fully set and loaded, the job isn't quite finished yet.
5. Move the small mechanical arm that holds the disc in place over so that the disc and the reader are both exposed. Some DVD players will not have anything holding the disc in place. Instead, these devices use a system not unlike that of a common DVD case. The DVD will be locked in place in the center.
6. Carefully lift the disc up and out of its loaded position in the DVD player. This may entail sliding the disc reading mechanism over slightly. This won't hurt the device as long as you're careful. You should be able to access and remove the disc.

Good Luck!!

My disc is jammed and won't come out.

the reason the disc is jammed is because the player did not sit the disc properly.

what you will have to do is;
get a screw driver, open the dvd player, you will find a mechanism that presses the cd down to the lens, you unscrew it too and remove the disc that is jammed in it.

press open to see if it would open up, if it does, then you can screw it back together, but if it does not open then there is a fault with the mechanism that open and closes the player. so you carefully check it out and put it back in order and it would start working.

Disc tray 1 is blinking with 2 ovals around it, tray not in right Panasonic SA-HT680

I had a jammed disc that was causing this same error message. To remove the jammed disc, remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.
