Knocking? it sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere in the tv and it may cause a fire. i wouldnt turn it on again until you get it to a repair shop.

Does it do it when the volume is at the minimum? does it come from speakers or inside the TV?

Testimonial: "It sounds as if its coming from the speaker area. The volume of the knocking does not go up or down when I adjust the speakers however. It's just a consistently loud knocking sound."

it could your power supply at 50Hz leaking onto your speakers, mean bad earth, dead Condensator, power supply on its way out. Open it and try to earth the speakers, then check if you have any blown or leaking capacitors in the power supply and in the power stage for the LCD screen. Check if the earth band are well connected from the screen to the power supply and that all screws are tight. Be careful at the high voltage that it can contain, do not open it with power, and do not touch the power stage without discharging the capacitors .

Its either very low on oil, or you have a rod knocking. You should not drive it until you fix the problem.

2001 Lincoln Town Car Sig. .. loud knocking noise and the noise speeds up when reved or driven? what do you think is the problem? I had an oil change using 10/40 but the noise is still the same? can it be...

A loud knocking noise like you've described if it's in the lower end of the engine, is usually a Crankshaft Rod Bearing. If the knocking noise is in the top end of the engine, it is usually a lifter or a rocker arm. Either one doesn't sound good and can be expensive. You can continue driving until it stops completely or you can do as the autozone suggested and use an oil thickner such as STP although none of them work very long or quiet them down for long.

You have a rod knock. Do not drive this car until you have this looked at by a professional. Drive this car and the engine may self destruct.

I have a loud knocking in the motor as soon i hit the gas oil is fine

Well, not too many things can make a knocking sound from the engine. Unfortunatly, I would say that it sounds like you have a bad push rod. Did you buy the car new or used. It could have been a problem before you bought it(if it was a used car). There are ways to temp. stop the noise so that someone buying the car won't know there is a problem until later. I would like to know more about the situation so that I can thourghly help you find and fix this problem.

There may be a few things you can do, to fix the knock before it gets worse.
The worst case is
If the knock is a deep sound and is loud, that indicates the rod bearings are worn out, and pretty soon the bearings will fail, and most likely the car will leave you stranded.

Compressor makes a loud grumble an vibrates when it shuts off

There are springs inside the compressor that suspend the motor. When one or more of those springs break then the motor will knock against the casing when it shuts down and loses centrifuge motion. The compressor will continue to run up until the point the it beats itself to death, which could be next week of next year. There's no way to tell. The only solution is to replace the compressor.
